Threatened Pre-term Labour

At 31 weeks I was admitted to hospital with contractions, they gave me lots of drugs and contractions stopped, I was allowed home 3 days later. I'm now 34 weeks and have been having strange pains - it starts off as an ache on the lower left side of my abdomen and then spreads to my lower back, lasting only about 30 secs - the pains are quiet regular but seem to happen mostly at night or when I am sitting at the computer ( like right now! ). I hated being in hospital and don't want to go back there unnecessarily ( as I know they'll keep me in for days again ). Has anyone else experienced anything like this? This is my 2nd pregnancy and I didn't have anything like this first time around. I'm hoping these pains are just a normal part of being heavily pregnant!!!

you poot thing, thats awful....
I am 33wks and have been having similar types of pains....
I am assuming that they are normal, although I havent had the same symptoms as you have in the past...
My best advise would be to check with your doc and make sure all is ok!

Thanks! It's good to hear that these symptoms just seem to be normal. I think I'm just paranoid about every pain now and paying more attention to them due to my previous contractions!

Sounds like pretty normal Braxton Hicks to me but it would be scary after your experience *hugs* If they get very regular and come with any kind of show, I'd pop back to the hospy otherwise sounds like you're cooking your baby beautifully! :)
