Hey everyone!!
I've finally had my baby! A little girl Taylor Jean, She was born on December 5 at 11.10pm, weighing 8lbs 3.5 ounces 52.4cm long.

She was 10 days over due and really didn't want to come out. They Induced me at 4pm on Monday afternoon with the cervidl tape, and was very slow getting anything started. I started having 4 contractions every 10 minutes about 10pm that night, and got moved into the birth suite at 3am in the morning and my fiancee was called in. I was only 1cm dilated and was like that until the morning where they checked and i was 2cm. They broke my waters at 7.30am, but still nothing.... Put me on a syntocin drip at 11am, was meant to be on it for 4 hours, but ended up being on it till she was born, cause i was progressing very slowly. They turned it up more and more but still wasnt dilating very fast as all....:banghead: Very frustrating and the contractions where coming in lots of three's and barely gave me time to breathe through them. I gave in and had an epidural at 4pm, i was hesitant about the epidural as they have tried four times to get it in with my 1st daughter but couldnt get the right spot so kinda scared me off getting it, but i couldn't take the pain anymore. Thankfully i got a proper anesthesiologist and he got it in 1st go and it worked like a charm! I managed to get 2 hours sleep, which was much needed after not sleeping for 2 days or eating, i was very tired.
They checked me again about 5pm, and i was only 5cm dilated and still progressing very slowly. They turned the syntocin up yet again and kept monitoring the baby to make sure she was handling it. I was very frustrated at this point cause it was taking so long and the talk of a c section was kinda scary if i didnt progress enough to get her out, cause my waters had been broken for a fair while and she still wasnt born yet. Got to about 7pm, and they checked again, and kept telling me another 2 hours, see how you are then, but wasnt very much if any improvement from the last internal check they did. I started to get really hot with a tempreture and felt sick and very light headed, i didnt have the energy to keep going the way it was.... i was also scared that i wouldnt have enough energy to push her out when the time came..,. even though it seemed it never would. Came to 9.30pm and still no baby  i however was 7cm dilated! which was good but still not good enough to me.. the epidural was wearing off and the pains starting to come back and get more intense, they ended up preparing me for a c section and got the wards man to come up and prepare to take me down to theatre for the operation, I was so scared i really didn't like the thought of being cut open also due to all the risks, but knew it was taking to long and the risk of infection to me and the baby were getting higher, and it was only a few hours b4 they had to get bubby out anyway cause my waters would have been broken for 18 hours. I ended up throwing up 7 times!! very umcomfortable, but it was for the better my fever came down a little bit and i felt like i had more enery, they checked and i was 10cm dilated!!!! :smiliedance: I was happy to hear that... the next lot of contractions she told me to push, the pushing didnt take too long, her heart rate was dropping quite a bit, and both doctor and midwife were getting concerned... as was i. They told me we had to get her our quickly, so it made me work harder and she finally was born at 11.10pm!! :smiliedance: She had her legs tightly together and took us a while to turn her over to see we had a little girl!! She also had the cord wrapped around her neck, thats why her heart rate was dropping, I've never felt such relief in all my life. We didn't know the sex of the baby. so it was a big surprise! we thought we were having a little boy, but turned out to be wrong.

She is the best baby, sleeps like a litle champion. I'm so happy its all over and she is out and ok.
I have really bad back pain which was assured to me it was normal.... but the day aftr i came home and had a visit from the hospital they told me i had a big diastasis (where the muscles in the abdomen come apart) which i had been checked for twice whilst inb hospital and told i didnt have it. So needless to say im pretty sore apart from that my life couldn't be happier!

Thanks Shezi and hereigoagain :):) Still so hard to believe I now have 2 children! Even though you spend the nine months expecting it, it's different when it becomes reality :). I have a tube brace thing on to help pull my muscles back together and get them stronger, with any luck it works quickly :)
