Okey dokey ladies i need some info !

For those of you who have had Hyperemesis have you gone on to have subsequent pregnancies that have had either no m/s or a little that subsides once into the pregnancy ?

I had really bad Hyperemesis with Boof & im petrified because im already starting to experience all the same symptoms this time around that i had with him.

Im hoping it subsides but auuugh i suppose i should be prepared .... Please tell me it goes away :p

I was sick with DD, but not bad enough to take anything for it. This time, it started out the same, but got ten times worse, much faster. I started out on maxalon, but that only reduced the :barf: down to 4times a day, and i still felt like rubish the rest of the day, waking to be sick at night. I have only been in hospital twice (and am 18weeks), so i guess it's not really bad as far is it can go. But sorry to say that yup - i am worse second time around. Zofran is helping at the moment though, i think it's the only thing keeping me out of hospital.

Hi Ally, although the odds are not in your favour, every other woman I have spoken to who suffered hyperemis suffered it with subsequent pregnancies, there is hope! I did not! I only had it with my first one AND all the ladies I talked to who did have it with their others said it did not last as long each time, so that is at leas tsomething as well.
:fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: that you will be one of the lucky ones! :hugs:

:hugs: I was thinking about you since your big announcement, I was worried that you might get it again seeing as how sick you've been with the "virus". I pray it doesn't happen again, like someone else said, each pregnancy is different.
Congratulations again!! DH and I are so happy for you guys:yelclap:

Im hoping it doesnt get worse because i really dont want to suffer like last time but i suppose at least this time im not going through the main part of the pg through summer ! The heat killed me last time !

I had hyperemesis what I thought was pretty bad with my daughter, but I had it worse with my son. I would be asking for Zofran, and you can use it as a suppositry, so you dont puke it back up.

I know a woman who had it so bad with her first that she was hospitalised for her whole pregnancy, and was told it would NOT happen second time around, oops... it did. Apparently her system is actually allergic to HCg or whatever that hormone is that tells you you are pg.

I really hope things go a lot more smoothly for you this time round!Congrats!

I had it with both my pregnancies. My DD1 i had it until week 24 and DD2 i had it up until week 16 (both hospitalised on several occasions). My DD2 is only 11 days old and i cannot imagine not having anymore children but the dreadful morning sickness might just put a stop to our little family populating any further. I don't think that people really understand how debilitating severe morning sickness can be.

Good luck and i hope things don't get too bad for you.

Janet.

Yes I suffered hyperemisis Gravidarium as well with DD it was horrible I tore my oseophagus was in bed for weeks and weeks and fainted everytime I got out of bed.. I was hospitalised several times and lost 18kgs I looked as if I was dieing.....
With DS while I was crook I wasn't half as bad as with DD I still lost 13kgs and now with # 3 somedays I am sick for a week in bed that bad and then for a day or so I feel like its all over and then BOOM it hits me again but not near as bad as DD was@!@ I am begining to think this is a boy!!

Dont you feel when someone says oh I didn't get sick like **** and think why me... Also after suffering so bad I just can't stand women who go on about how sick they are and yet are sitting at the tea table eating, seriously when your sick you don't eat!@!!!!
CAN YOU TELL IT ALL SCARRED ME FOR LIFE

Oh yes around this time last year one of my friends called to say she was pg & soooo sick :ecomcity:
So being a good friend i sympathised etc etc then asked how bad it got for her & does she throw up much etc etc. Guess what ?!?!?! She had only thrown up once & was just feeling off all the time. Meh. I wanted to show her feeling off !!!!!!

Looks like ive got it again :crying: :gloomy:

I can hardly make it out of bed for long periods i keep wanting to pass out. I have bad cramps in my stomach ( not period type cramps but further up towards my ribs) like i had last time. I can only manage a mouthful of dry ginger ale every few hours. Cant go near the kitchen again as i start to gag. And i have my wonderful friend the bucket beside my bed or side 24/7

Ally i am so sad to hear you are getting just as sick this time.:hugs: having HG with my DS is one of the reasons we decided to stop at 2 kids.
I know what you meen about when other people whinge how sick they are. A "Friend" fell pregnant just before DS was born and she would constantly complain how sick she was with MS, while stuffing her face with a mars bar and coke.

Ally I would definatly talk to your Dr about zofren before you get too dehydrated. if you had trouble with the tablets before you could try the wafers.

:hugs:

Thanks Rell ! Ive also been told i can get it as a suppository ( meh spelling ) so i as much as i hate that idea when you are desperate you are desperate.
