Spotting???

Could someone please explain spotting to me.....
I'll just apoligise in advance just in case any of this info is TMI.
Well i'm due for af tomorrow, i usually get bad pain when it comes but have been seeing a chinese herbalist and having acupuncture for the last month.
When i went to the toilet i thought af had come but it's not like normal. Usually at the beginning it's quite red but at the moment it's brown, have no pain at all and it's not heavy.
Not sure if all this has to do with the herbal tea i've been drinking or if maybe it's spotting....
Got any ideas?

I usually have what your describing just before full-on AF arrives - and yes I would desrcibe it as spotting. It can last for me up to a day or so but I don't always get it, that is, sometimes AF just arrives full blown without the spotting.

However, I have heard that people who are pg sometimes get this spotting that you are describing without the full on bleeding.

So my suggestion to you is if the spotting continues, get out there and do a HPT - you might be pg!!

I always get spotting for a day or two before AF arrives as 'full red flow'. It looks look brown CM and isn't heavy.

Last month the spotting came as per usual but it only last one day.....about four days later I did a HPT and I was pregnant so I assume it was implantation spotting!!

Well unfortunately started full on bleeding this morning and got some af pain.
I've never had this before so i had no idea what it was. :confused:
Maybe it has something to do with the acupuncture and herbs cos the herbalist said that he was "cleaning out my tubes"!
