Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone out there had a recipe for baby museli/cereal bars? I bought a packet in the supermarket the other day and he loves them but they were so expensive. I'd love to give making some myself a go if anyone can help?
thanks!

Heres one but it's rather unhealthy and contains peanut butter. But jsut to give you and idea of ratios of wet to dry stuff etc... you may be able to adapt it to make it more suitable for a baby? Hope this helps!
100g butter
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 sugar
Cook all of these in the microwave for approx. 4 -5 mins stirring every minute until it turns carmel in colour.
1 cup rice bubbles
1 cup coconut
1 cup muesli/rolled oats
1 cup dried fruit
2 cups cornflakes, crushed
Mix dry ingredients and add carmel and mix well.
Press into slice tray
Refridgerate.

Coconut isn't classed as one of those high risk nuts but I think general advice is too steer clear of ALL nuts.
But personally I wouldn't worry about it... but I am rather relaxed about that sort of thing so you probably shouldnt listen to me :o
Maybe you could replace the coconut with bran or something if you're not sure?
