Hi everyone -
Could you please put me down for testing on the 7th of January.
Are we all ready to jump on the TTC merry-go-round again?
It's time for a fresh year, and I'm going to move on from this year of baby dramas. I'll be O'ing around Xmas day so I'm hoping the festive spirit will make me extra fertile
Sweetpea, Lilith and Pippi - we're going to be in the 2WW over New Years! Tough decision - to drink or not to drink... I was in the same situation last New Years and just had a few. What do you guys think?
Lorren-, I am also going to be on the TWW over christmas as I will be testing on the 29th I am not sure weather to drink ( a couple) or not cause no one in our families know we are TTC again and I am sure if they don't see me having some sort of drink they will think somethings up ....I will be four days out from testing......
AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH
What do I do.....
Lorren
11-12-2006, 12:27 PM
I know what you mean. By now pretty much everyone knows we are trying, and everytime I get asked if I want a drink it's always a loaded question. I know if I ever refuse one the rumours will start flying!
That's tricky if you'll be 4 days out from testing - the egg could be implanted by then so I think it will be starting to draw from you. It's not as much of a worry for the first week after O cos the egg is just kind of floating around (I think! - don't quote me)...
Lorren

When my sis-in-law was pregnant and keeping it a secret, she would ask her DH for a vodka and orange, then he would just secretly bring back an orange juice. You could do the same with champagne and orange, just put a tiny dash of champers in there...
Lorren- Thats a great idea I just might do that as I do drink Vodka.....I may sneak in a test on Christmas day just to see... Won't be telling any family for a little while as I lost a baby in Oct at 7 wks so I would like to wait until after an u/s....

Lorren what a good idea sneaky! I will be 3 days out from testing on xmas so I might do the same.
Lorren
12-12-2006, 09:28 AM
Really if you say you are drinking no one would even notice if you were secretly tipping it down the sink. Usually on Xmas day there's so much going on that you just need to look like you have a drink in your hand ;)

Welcome to the Jan testing crowd.
How exciting that one of us is going to be the first :bfp: of the year! Actually make that all of us :fingerscrossed:

Hi ladies
I will be testing Jan 10th hopefully a :bfp: for me.
This will be our third cycle of ttc. It took us a miscarriage and nearly two years all up to get our Hazmat so I may be here for a while.
I was three days late until AF showed today  .
Good luck and much baby dust (and fun BDing) to all. Hope Santa has lots of babies in his sack this year.

hi SweetP and WFM
I am about 8 DPO and will test in about 4 days time.
I am really feeling so uncertain this cycle my temps are boring so that doesn't bode well.
My DS is with his Father for christmas, I rang him earlier to say I miss you, happy xmas, what toys did you get?, and instead he gave me the biggest brush off and couldn't wait to get off the phone. DS "prefers" his Father to me (he is a good time dad (even if it is just 2 visits a year (he works OS) last visit he asked to live with him. I am feeling devastated and wondering why the *%%$ would I want another child ?? And why do I bother with all the hard yards every other day of the year when he would rather live with his Father? Sorry I have a head of steam up ! It just seems so unfair.

WFM :hugs: I think I understand what you might be feeling - I had a m/c in April the due date would have been the 13th of Decemeber, so I kept looking at little babies when I was out shopping and thinking "I should have one of those, by now. - have you felt the same thing?
Anyway now I just want to shake all this negativity away its so ugly and self destructive.
thankgod for Hubbub know one else knows (except DH) about any of this !
good luck to those coming up to testing any symptoms at all??

Good morning everyone!!!!
Congradts JCB on your BFP!!! That nearly rhymes lol. Santa was kind to you this year!! Heres to a healthy and happy 9 months!!!!!!!:smiliedance: :smiliedance:
Its a little strange being in this TTC game and having no idea when im going to O or if I already have........ dont know if i should be celebrating new years :o . I dont know if im going to be cycling normally or not for a while yet either as DF and I decided not to wait for AF before TTC......... it is kinda easier not to know where you are at strangely enough.
Sun - I went back to work yesterday - was not happy about it lol. Just think, something has to pay for those rediculously small clothes that we will all be buying soon :D .
Overboard - there is an australian online store that sells HPT's and ovulation tests at about a dollar or two each...... I just bought a digital thermometor, 40 ovulation tests, and about 20 preg tests for about 80.00 which is really quite cheap, as im a bit of a fan of peeing on sticks lol.
I used the ovulation test strips and they helped me to convince DF to BD flat out last month and it landed our BFP.
PM me if you would like the addy, i dont want to get an infraction.
Hope you are all having a great day!!! Good luck to all those BD or POS!!!!

Hi everyone,
DH and I have only just started TTC in Dec and a couple of people said to join this thread so thanks to them and Hi:) .
I'm not 100% sure if I'll be testing this month or not but may do on 4th or 5th as I think I may be few days late but is hard to tell as I've only had my AF once since having my DS and that was last month. I'm normally regular as clockwork but I don't really know how it works when getting everything back to normal and feeding and stuff. It's all a little confusing so if I haven't got them by then I'll do a test to check. LOL that was probably the most awkward way to write that but never mind:o .
OK, Good luck to everyone:fingerscrossed:

Camcat - My AF was like clockwork too before I had DS. I have been temping for a few months using fertiliy friend and using maybe baby. My temp were a bit all over the place at first but now DS is down to 2 feeds per day they seem to be making a more regular pattern.

Glad you could make sense out of the jumble mum2bailey :D . Thanks for the info too. My DS is now down to 2 feeds also (for couple of weeks now as intro'd bottle for midday feed) so I guess that should steady things a bit but DH and I just tend to BD regularly whilst trying anyway as I don't have the memory and/or patience for tracking everything:laughing: . With any luck it'll work for us. I've been going nuts as I've developed a pea sized bladder again in the past week or so which is the first sign of my pregnancy I had with my DS but I'm not sure whether to test yet or not as it seems a bit to easy and I wonder if maybe I'm hoping myself into the symptoms:confused:
Whatever happens I'll let all know:)

Thanks Sun! That's sweet of you.
I really have no idea what is going on at the moment. I had some light spotting at what would have been implantation time, and I have sore boobs etc. However, AF should be due on Friday or Saturday and I have done several tests this week, including this morning which were all BFN. So I get the feeling it's not happening for me this month...
Hope the rest of you are doing OK. I'm trying to remember that it's a fresh slate now for 2007 but I'm still as obsessed as ever! I really spent New Year's Eve thinking about the fact that I was hoping I was pregnant last New Year's as well. :banghead:

lorren - stay positive, my sister never got her bfp until 7 days after af was due, and i've read plenty of posts with people getting bfn's on day af is due then a bfp a couple of days later, so keep smiling, and think positive thoughts..........some of the signs you've had seem pretty good ...........
snake eater - :fingerscrossed: af turns up asap, then you can get straight back into lots of bd.
i'm due to O roundabout saturday, i'm a bit worried this month as DF is away and doesn't get back to saturday night, i just guess we'll have to get down to it lots saturday and sunday and hope we catch that eggie, i'm just worried that i've o'd eariler as i'm starting to get O pains already and i don't normally get them till the day before and after, althougth thinking about it, last cycle i O'd later then FF said so you never know i might get lucky and O later again this cycle....oh well, what will be will be

Bummer for your DF to be away. Isn't it funny how that always happens? I reckon I missed about 4 eggs last year from just not being in the same place at the right time. It seemed the only times we had to be apart, eg. hen's weekends, was when O would turn up!
Just make sure you get some action in on Saturday night (it's funny to be encouraging that!) and you should still be in with a shot.

Morning ladies,
Best wishes for testing, Lorren. :fingerscrossed: I truly hope this is your time and that AF stays away. Don't worry about not feeling 'vibes' or heaps of symptoms (although i say that, knowing exactly what you mean) - plenty of women feel nothing at all.
Sun, I really hope O holds off for a little while and you get plenty of opportunity to catch that eggie.
I'm in O-zone at the moment - should happen today or tomorrow I think.
Have a great day everyone! Surely it's time for some :bfp: news!!
Lorren
04-01-2007, 09:48 AM
Thanks Egall,
I'm still having light cramping which is either good news or bad. How annoying that most of the symptoms are the same for AF or for a BFP!
Good luck catching that egg - are you going to try the standing on your head trick that was talked about in December? :D I forgot to use that one!
Lorren
04-01-2007, 09:52 AM
The good news is...
In December's calendar 16 of the 53 girls who posted results got a BFP.
If the same ratio happens this month, at least 12 of us are going to get that :bfp: for January!
That makes me feel better - some of us are guaranteed some good news!
Who will be the first...

I popped in todays and yesterdays this morning and it said that I o'd 3 days ago. I am only on CD 12 so that means I o'd CD 9. My cycle is all over the place. Lorren - sounds promising, I have my :fingerscrossed: for you!!! Cant wait to see your name in pink!!
Egall - I tried standing on my head, half to see if it would work, half to get a laugh out of DF. Well that month it didnt work, and I ended up with a headache lol, but on the upside - DF cracked up!!
Sun1305 - Good luck!!
Snakeeater - any signs of AF?? Hope it happens soon hun.
I have no idea whats going on with me, M/C was 25 days ago and started BD 17 days ago, started to get some symptoms in the last 3 days, but got a BFN on an IC this morning.
Could be coming down with something so trying not to get too excited over nothing (but this is me lol) as I have no idea when I o'd.
One lady at work is actually giving me the heeby jeebies - im probably just a horrible jealous person but she keeps coming into my office and talking about her pregnancy. My feelings about this confuse me as im happy talking to preg people on bubhub all day but for some reason I just get really frustrated with her:o .
Anyone else get this way? Im usually not like this, must be a coping mechanism, or mabey i just dont like her  .

Renee your not the only one I get very jealous too. I was at a 1st birthday last night and this girl is preg with her 2nd, 1st preg she fell while using a condom. Then about 3 months after she gave birth she fell again she was BF and on the Pill, she said that she is just overly fertile. Then she said to me "Oh don't worry you will fall one day" It just gets to me when people so that "Oh don't worry" but you do worry it seems to take over your life. Hmmm anyhoo thats my little vent.

Hey Renee
Don't feel bad - it's natural to not like hearing about her pregnancy. It would be impossible not to think about what you're missing out on, or what could have been.
I think the worst is when other people are blase about being pregnant. I really snapped at my B-I-L the other day because he was giving me the 'stressing over it will stop it happening' line and I just said that was **** and he could never know cos he never had to wait. He did look contrite after that!
I find it really hard when I know the person who is pregnant. It doesn't bother me at all when strangers are pregnant (which is good because I work with pregnant women every day!), but friends or relatives are difficult. When I M/C I had 4 preg S-I-Ls. Two are due at the same time I would have been and I just cannot ask them how things are going. I feel so mean sometimes...
:ecomcity: - looks like I needed to vent too!!

Well girls I can't quite beleive it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have today got our :bfp: and we are thrilled, delighted, terrified and really can't explain the emotions at the moment.
See, 2 years ago our beautiful daughter passed away in my arms, she was born 14 weeks early and now we have been blessed after 13 months of trying.
Have been to the doctor this morning and tested positive again and we are now about to embark on a high risk pregnancy, our 2 other bubs have come early too.
I had actually taken myself off this months testing calendar as we weren't trying again until this month. I guess a weekend at the gold coast 2 weeks ago must have done the trick.
To all the girls that have posted and helped me out since I've joined bubhub thank you so much.
Good Luck lovely ladies and please send loads of stick dust our way - some for 12 weeks and then some more to get us to 38 weeks.

Good luck catching that egg - are you going to try the standing on your head trick that was talked about in December? :D I forgot to use that one![/quote]
Well, I didn't quite stand on my head, but did stick a pillow under my butt! I warned DH that it was going to happen and he had a little chuckle, but then when the time came, he was like, 'So do you want me to get that pillow for you?'
If the pillow trick doesn't work this time round, I guess I can work my way up to greater degrees of verticality in future cycles- who knows, in a few months I could be dangling by my toes from the light fitting!
:fingerscrossed: that won't be necessary!!!
Hey Kyles, I tried to take a look at your chart, (not that my powers of interpretation are all that great) but FF seems to have put you on Day 1, so there's not much there to see. Maybe if you change today's info to spotting rather than light, it will take you back. Does that make sense??
Cheers ladies!

Well, I'm no expert, but your temp is still above the coverline, and plenty of women do get some spotting at around the time AF is due . . .
it really is just a waiting game. :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:
It's so hard, isn't it! I think many of us have been where you are right now and know how it feels - trying not to get our hopes up too high, but at the same time, not wanting to give up all hope prematurely.
Hope it just turns out to be spotting and AF stays well away!!

Can i change my testing date to the 14th as im already 5DPO :smiliedance: and i know i wont hold out till the 30th. Thank you
Kyles

Thanks for your help Egall
Yes waiting is the killer! The spotting appeared to be getting darker and then got lighter again so I am confused. I woke up in a pile of sweat during last night as well which was wierd!
I really feel its the first time I have O'd since going off the pill because I felt the whole thing happen...tightness and annoying cramping etc a couple of days later and generally not feeling normal :(
Oh well if its not meant to be this month then there must be a reason why.
All the best to you :fingerscrossed:

Morning everyone.
Well I did my test and came up with a :bfn: this morning:( . It's still hard to know what's going on though as I'm still getting some similar to pg symptoms. As I said earlier my AF's are still a bit irregular as only just returning so hard to figure out exactly what's going on but I guess if I still haven't got them by end of month and am still having symptoms I'll try again.
I just wish either one or the other would happen. As dissapointing as it would be to get my AF at least then I'd know for sure and be able to look at trying again. As it is DH and I are just BD regularly and seeing what happens. (Although I can't really complain 'bout the BD when you think about it:laughing: )
:fingerscrossed: for all the girls testing today and tomorrow. (and the rest of the month also but y'all aren't as close to doing yet so I'll send you extra luck closer)

 Girls, I just wanted to say thank you all for your best wishes. I know so many of you have gone through sorrow, loss, heartache and joy, so thank you for taking the time out to be happy for me.
I just thought I would quickly write down a few symptoms, thought it may help..............or hinder.
I did not test early, vowed I wouldn't and I stuck to it.
So I tested yesterday morning - 19DPO and it was a really strong positive.
From 9dpo - hootie patooties sore - mainly around the sides near my armpits.
Very loose bowel motions (tmi)
Reflux
Increase in mucus
Temperature stayed high - 36.9
Finally :wizard: :wizard: to you all.x

Good afternoon everyone,
Well I am waiting with baited breath. AF was due this morrning and no sign as yet... Please stay away!
I went to an awful, awful funeral this morning and it's made me even more aware of how important family is and I want one of my own!
Kyles - I know just how you feel. I had light spotting most of the week (most unusual for me) and BFN on tests, but now the spotting has cleared up and no AF... Keep on hoping!
Trish - so sorry AF turned up. :fingerscrossed: January is your month!
CamCat - It ain't over till it's over, so just wait and see what happens. That must be very frustrating for you not knowing what's happening!
Lorren- :hugs: on the Feneral...I was surpose to go to one today was to unwell to go....

Hello Girls,
Well i have been really really slack and have not yet written in this forum.
First of all Congratulations to you wonderful girls that have had BFP's .....I know many of you from previous months threads and could not be happier for you.
Well based on my previous cycles I probably shouldn't even test in january...(i have been having 33-42 day cycles) but I might just slip in a test on the last day of january (I'm hopeless are there 30 or 31 days in January)
I think tho that AF is due on about the 4th of February - Ironically that was my due date before my miscarriage- so hopefully I can turn what will be a horrible day - into a wonderful one.
Of course IF AF arrives on that day then I will be completely devistated.
Wish me luck girls- I am having an ultrasound tommorow to check if everything looks good down there,
gotta go DP has just cooked dinner yummmmmmmmmmmmm.

Good Morning ladies!!
Sorry I haven't been around much - have been in Denmark, in South Western Australia enjoying Christmas with the family, (such a gorgeous place). And this week we've been busy painting the house. It's been so nice having two weeks off work - absolute bliss!! Well I had some bloods last week to check my hormones as it took forever for AF to arrive after my m/c in October. :fingerscrossed: we'll catch the egg this month again.
Bettyboo and WFM - I am so happy for you both!! :smiliedance:
Sweetpea - So sorry AF arrived. :hugs:

Well I tested this morning with an internet pregnow test and got the faintest of faint second line I'm not sure whether to let myself get too excited or not as it was sooo faint... but it WAS there
Am I or aren't I?
Is it better to wait two days before testing again? Or should I test again in the morning and if I get another faint line go buy a more reliable test and try that?
What test do you recommend?
Grizabella
07-01-2007, 12:22 AM
I have no idea tomsmum LOL I am in the same boat. The faintest ghost of a faint line here today. But I didn't go to sleep until 4pm this arvo cos of jetlag - probably affected the sample.
I am restesting tomorrow with FMU to see - if not will be waiting until AF either shows or doesn't show (she is due tomorrow - Tuesday)
I am using Crystal Clear - but I have heard many good things about First Response and Clear Blue
Good Luck!!!
So sorry to hear it wasn't your month Helen. Let's hope the rest of 2007 brings some babydust your way. Good luck with your next Chlomid Cycle!!:fingerscrossed:

Here's hoping it's the last one for a long time.
I still don't know what's going on. I refuse to test again for a while, even though it's tempting to. Still getting similar symptoms to my first pg (eg: shrinking bladder, dizziness, absolutely exhausted, nausea and, as of this morning, some vomiting thrown in there for good measure) but I'm trying not to let myself make too much of it as occasionally will get some of these when AF is due. I'll try hold off for a bit on testing again (even if it is hard to do).
Congratulations to tomsmum on u'r :bfp:

CamCat - I'm still in the same boat as you. No idea what's happening!!
Still no AF, which should have turned up on Friday/Saturday, but negative tests all week. The last test I did was Friday night and not even a trace of a second line. I'm still having light cramping pretty often, but other than that not too many symptoms...
If it wasn't for the light spotting a week ago I would have just thought it was going to be another unexplained long cycle. Has anyone had spotting during a cycle before, that wasn't implantation?

Lorren - here's hoping we both get the result we're looking for. I'm not sure if I'm late or not even as going by my old average cycle length I am but if I calculate from when I had O pains then I'm only just late (couple of days), but if this is the case is way longer than my normal cycle. It's very confusing this whole not yet having a definate cycle thing:laughing: .
Good luck to all the girls still to test. I'll keep my:fingerscrossed: for everyone.

Hi all!
I was reminded by someone in another thread that i had been a little forgetful in posting on this thread - Whoopsie.
I tested on new years eve and got the faintest of lines, waited a few days then got another line, decided id better have a blood test and on friday was confirmed - we have our :bfp:
Its been a long time coming and DF and i are very happy, if still a little shocked! We have told our families - we decided if something was ever to happen before 3 months then we would rather the support of family than nobody knowing and the difficulty of explaining. (if that makes sense).
So - now all i have to do is think of 101 things that need to be done between now and September!!

Yes it really does happen that quickly! If he takes it in the morning he'll start pestering me that night :D . Normally he wouldn't bug me for at least a few days. And when he's taking it he'll get pain from the 'build up' if we don't BD for a couple of days, which is also unusual for him. Maybe he's just really receptive to the zinc! I haven't heard anyone else's experiences... And actually the month that he first started taking it was the month I feel pregnant last time.

Back again.
Well, the doc confirmed it, there is a reason for all the :barf: . (Which is nice to know cause it's definately not much fun)
He said it's only still quite early though as faint pos (prob only 2-3 weeks, although I think he means from conception, which would mean 4-5 weeks by the thingy [you know, first 2 weeks are week of AF plus 1 week, then conception, then another 38 weeks] He,he, I can't think of what the doovie's called) so I won't find out due date etc for approx a month (when I can go for dating scan).
It's good to know where I stand though:) .

I have been impatient and frustrated in the past but this month i was just overwhelmed with sadness. I know that my DH and i will make good, loving parents. In my field of work i constantly see drug/alcohol addicts having babies, and very young teenagers who are pregnant and won't be able to give the child a life it deserves and it's just not fair.
Goodluck to those still yet to test.
:wizard: to us all!

:hugs: twinkletot - no, it's totally not fair. I sure wish I knew why all the people who seem to do all the wrong things seem to be the most fertile!
Wish there was a way to help you feel better. Having a good cry is a good thing, so is chocolate, ice-cream, massage - do something to spoil yourself, you deserve it, love. :hugs:

Twinkletot - :hugs: hang in there! It can be sooo frustrating I know. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would still be TTC today. I know our baby is out there somewhere and so is yours. When he or she is ready they will turn up - we just have to wait and see when and how!

when is AF due lorren?:detective:
It should have been due last Friday or Saturday. Every now and then I will have a long cycle for no reason, but it's just odd cos I had the light spotting a week before AF was due. That seemed promising, but then BFN on all the tests .
So now I'm just waiting...

Twinkletot - Commiserations on your AF. Hopefully Feb will be your month.
Lorren- Don't give up hope yet! My test last week came up with a BFN but I got my BFP this week so the same could happen to you. Maybe it's a longer cycle and you O'd later so it might not show up on test yet? Doc thinks I'm not as far along as I would have been if got pg according to normal cycle. Do you know when you O'd? I wasn't keeping track but think I know when was cause of pains and is pretty close to when doc thinks got pg so maybe if you O'd later test test pos later? (Does any of that make any sense?) I'll keep my :fingerscrossed: for you.

I think I O'd at around the 3 week mark, and I'm now at 5 1/2 weeks. But it was less clear this month... I only use CM as an indicator.

Mum2bailey - An increase in CM is definitely a very good sign. :fingerscrossed: for you!!
Congratulations to all those who have received a :bfp: ! :smiliedance:
Big :hugs: to those lovely ladies who had a visit from the wicked witch. Am so so sorry.
Not much happening here. Just sitting on CD 12 waiting for the OPKs to show up a line. I think we'll have to get some bed action happening in the meantime just in case.
