Hi Girls...for some reason my other thread has disappeared.

Thought it was time for some updates! Ive lost 5kg! Im so proud...and I can really see a difference. And its so nice because heaps of other people are saying to me 'wow mel, you've lost so much weight', and that just feels awesome! :D

So I feel really proud of myself. How is everyone else going?


Starting weight: 74kg

Current weight: 69kg :smiliedance:

Good on you girls! For some reason, I have lost weight quite easily...so Im loving it. Just slipped up though...had an icecream! Naughty Mel :shame:

Ah well, I cant always be an :angel: when it comes to health! :o

Well lately it feels like ive been drinking pool water because SA upped the chlorine to kill of bacteria due to hot weather! :thumbsdown: So I drink water, and the chlorine makes me thirsty, so you go to drink more and get even thirstier! :rolleyes: I really really feel like powerade though! Lots of sugar though :(

yeah..coke zero is what i normally drink most of the time.. but i still drink normal coke too much... :o im trying to stop it, and drink coke zero instead, or just drink water.

leesha - my main reasons are to fit back into clothes I was wearing pre preg and just for my general health and to feel good about myself again

Tina - I'm 178cm tall so once I reach my goal weight my BMI will be 20 which is borderline healthy / underweight which probably isn't a great thing but I loved my body before pregnancy.

*sigh*

Just curious, what are everyone's reasons for wanting to lose their weight? Mine is just to feel better about myself and have more confidence.

im roughly same height as you last time i checked i was 180 so ill go by what you say for the height hwhehhehehhe

Im just trying to find a balance. Had anorexia for 4 years, then during year 12 I put weight back on, then this year I went a little overboard. So now im trying to find the middle ground :( Anyway, Im on the right track!

I wonder what the best exercise (if any) for me to do would be considering I only gave birth 12 days ago?

Aren't you like not meant to exercise or something for about 6 weeks? Maybe I just made that up? :o

Just walk hun! Dont push yourself. You might feel fine, but if push yourself too hard, you'll regret it. Take it easy, go for walks, then in a few weeks, just 'up' your exercise a bit! :thumbsup:

By the way Leesh...no one expects you to be back to pre pregnancy weight so soon, so dont put that expectation on yourself either! :D Im sure your gorgeous just the way you are!

Mel you sound like my DF saying that. He keeps telling me that it took me 9 months to get my body the way it was so it is going to take a while :D

I know that too but it doesn't make it any easier when you look in the mirror and see these hips that have widened like an elephant and a jelly belly covered in stretch marks... :(

Fair enough...but what mum gives birth and looks a million dollars afterwards? (excluding those who have tummy tucks!)

Its only been 12 days, you'll probably find that you'll lose it quite easily soon anyway! Are you breastfeeding?

Shhh stop being so realistic... :D

I am breastfeeding but a few days ago I started hybrid feeding so I give him formula here and there (usually at night) because it fills him up more and sleeps better! :p

Good on ya! I have a feeling that we will all lose weight over summer because you tend to eat less, and drink more. Well, I have my :fingerscrossed: anyway! :D

been bad today....:shame: had two fried eggs and sausage for breakkie ( i hardly ever have this...so i figure maybe this is ok??) and toast, soylinseed one, anyhow.. had three (microwaved) dimsims for lunch...had a coke this morning...bad i know....naughty naughty!! probably just have left overs for tea tonight.

ohhhh gotta love that jelly belly covered in stretch marks. It ****s me to tears, There's so much stretch skin I can grab it all and gobble it up in my hands, I probably shouldn't do that though ahah, it's just so jelly realistic.

I was loosing weight, I felt normal again. Then I wen't on the depo ralovera when she was 6 weeks old and wham!!! within two weeks my skinny leg jeans didn't fit me anymore! :(

Things i've been doing to get myself back in order.

Two hours at the gym a few days a week, pretty soon this will be every day for three weeks as DF has all this time off work and we're both keen on getting fit.

Replacing all soft drinks with water or diet as the alternative. Already addicted to diet coke, I know it's not as good for you but it's gotta be better then all that damn sugar in normal coke.

Obsessed with fancy salad and rocket now. Actually craving it everyday.
Using skim milk in my tea and cappucinos and cereal.

Eating the sports for life cereal, some days the other flavours/assorted cereals-same brand-they're all so yummy and actually cheaper then most cereals. As soon as Chloe wakes up for her 7am-8am bottle, I have my cereal. They do say breakfast is the most imporant meal of the day so :fingerscrossed: this is helping.

If we're going to eat out, i've resorted to nandos, they have healthy selections. Much better then Mcdonalds, hungry jacks and KFC etc. Speak of nandos, I had it today and i'm already needing another 'nando fix'.
Maybe this could get bad.... lol

Instead of munching on lollies, i've chose white nectarines instead, they're so so so sweet and yummy. Plus I know the sugar in fruit is easier to break down then the crappy preservatives in most lollies. Just been buying a masssive bag of these babies and within a few days they're ripe and all gobbled up.

So far trying this one out i'm fitting back into my short shorts and i'm not at all looking back, new lifestyle. Sick of being fatty mc-fat fat.

Getting my tattoo on my thigh soon and after visits to the gym I already feel confident that my thigh wont be so mushy after all. :D

In conclusion, I have no idea how much i weigh atm, I dont' have any scales. I haven't seen them at the gym yet. Do i dare weigh myself?:eek:

Coke zero and diet coke are no good for you at all because they contain saccharine. Which is the artificial sugar (ie chemicals). Scientists proved that consuming this saccharine was actually worse for your weightloss than having sugar!

I know cos I'm a coke zero addict too :thumbsdown:

Blah... stupid Christmas & NY eating! Its all back on!

This year I am going to:

Start eating 3 meals a day - make sure I have breakfast

Eat healthy and hearty meals with only some treats

Watch how many carbs I have - I often eat bowls of pasta

Drink more water

Get of my bum and excersise... go to the gym!!! I am wasting my membership!

EAT LESS!
Go to the gym (im also waisting membership!)

Im going to join you girls as well as i figure i could use all the motivation i can get.

I have been soooo slack with me eating the last 2 weeks. I have basically been gorgins on coke and Sh*t so i had better get my butt back into gear,

I start back at the gym tomorrow so then i need to get my eating uder controll ie eat 3 meals a day and not just **** food... drink more water.

My start weight is 70.5kg and my goal weight is about 58kg.

Lets stay strong ladies and get to our goals.

Hey girls,

I know what the lack of motivation is like. If it wasn't for DF i'd be struggling too. He's basically my personal trainer, he know's how sad I am so he's doing everything he can to motivate me, we've been going to the gym three times a week, and going beach walking with me, we're even thinking of buying our own gym set. Might save us money in gym memberships which can be hectic expensive.

I just can't stand the horrid jelly belly! GO AWAY MATE!
