Hi
I am a 26 yr old mother and i have 15month year old son. I have recently moved to the south east surburbs - Berwick. Living in south yarra was way to expensive but i do miss the shopping and busy lifestyle!
I looking for other single parents to socialize with in the south east area - whether that be for a coffee, walks, shopping, movies, lunch etc. Its. quite down here and finding new friends for me and my son would be reallly nice.
I would love my son to have friends that are very similar of age. SO if any wants to email me and chat ........give me a bell at: like_waterfalls@hotmail.com

I know this is an old thread, but maybe we should revive it and organise a get together for the SE Subs single mums? I'd like to meet some new people since we moved here not long ago.

Hi, I am a single mum with a 5 yo boy and 3 (almost 4) yo girl. I would love to organise a single mums playgroup that meets weekly (I am in Boronia) on a Wednesday arvo. Is anyone interested? When I became a single parent I looked everywhere to try and find one but they don't seem to exist.... I think it would be a great way to make friends and support each other.

It is the great idea to have a group of single parents together, not only benefit the parents, but also the kids.
I would like be join any events on weekends, and would suggest that we could get in touch more often over internet or phone.
Much look forward to meeting everyone soon.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the responses on the board and on my (pm) I see I'm not alone, there are a few single mums based in Berwick and although I'm aware that there are meetings in Chaddy, perhaps Berwick mums would like to do something local? Can be coffee or park with the children or whatever takes our fancy.
I believe a local meeting may prove to be a great support to existing and newly single mums.

Do you have Thursday or Friday mornings from 10am-12pm free?
If so, Coral Drive Playgroup has many vacancies to be filled. The playgroup is run at the Coral Drive Maternal and Child Health nurse/Kindergarten, Hampton Park.
Cost is $2 per week + a one off fee to Playgroup Victoria ($25 non-concession) or ($15 for concession card holders) this is for insurance purposes. Tea/coffee is provided. Please see www.playgroup.org.au/ (http://www.playgroup.org.au/) for all details regarding insurance and what playgroup is all about.
We have an indoor heated room with many different toddler toys, equipment for craft activities. Outdoors, we have a shade sail covered area with sandpit and many outside play toys for the children to run around with and burn off their energy.
It would be great if you all could get together and come and have a look. Playgroup can be the first step towards great relationships for your children and also us Mums. Rather than go into great detail why it's great for the children check out What is playgroup?/What children get from playgroup on the www.playgroup.org.au (http://www.playgroup.org.au/) website.
Thank you everyone for reading.. If anyone is interested you can contact me (Natalie) on 9799 6732 if you would like to come and have a look.
