Waiting waiting waiting!!
I've held off getting a couple of BumGenius pockets because apparently the new style is out soon... Some sites are still saying mid-november... and I keep hearing nice things about the original from a few of you more 'seasoned' clothies :p
If someone knows where it's in stock, can you pretty please pm me?!
I'm soooo impatient!!
I think they have fixed up the'plasticky' feel of them so probably worth waiting for Em.
I believe Nurture nappies are taking pre-orders???
I love my bumGenious AIO, they are such a good fit, but yeah the 'plastic' feel is the one draw back!

OOoo preorders!! Thanks guys, the plasicy thing is what held me back before. Pul doesn't need to be plasticy at all. I just have this thing about needing to own one of nearly every kind of pocket, yanno?
Off I go to nuture nappies *whips out credit card*

Nonononononononono!!!!!!
Serves me right for not checking first. Duh...
I suppose it's only a few weeks away... I also got the new 'blossom' colour:-)
I guess I kinda have to learn to go longer between fluffy purchases anyway, this might actually teach me some self-control!

 Resist the urges ? You gotta be kidding me! I got the blossom one aswell. Will let you know how i go with it :p Knowing Janie it'll be here early next week :yelclap:
I know the plastic style of the bG is a drawback but I *think* it would last longer (waterproofness)? Are the new ones with PUL?
A little OT -Has any one a nappy with Procare? I bought some to make a nappy but I think it would be better as a hidden layer (it is white and doesn't feel or look nice!)

Gosh, havn't heard of Procare, Kymmy, but then I'm no nappy-sewer like you other creative girls :o
The new BumGenius is still a pul pocket- but apparently it's much softer 'Fabrite' pul.
From Nuture Nappies: (for anyone interested)
The new Version 2.0 also has some additional benefits:
• They may now be washed in HOT if you desire.
• The one-size now features a new PUL outer.
• The recommended size range is now 3.6-15.5 kgs.
• Double-crossover tabs are standard now on all nappies.
• There is a second line of stitching at the top edge of all the new one-size nappies. The top edge has also been trimmed ever so slightly.
• In addition to offering a full selection of our own unique PUL colors, we will continue to make bumGenius One-Size in the original, dyeable fabric - but only in white.

I hadn't heard of procare until greenbeans newsletter said they were getting some more stock in. I'm thinking I might get some next year. I googled it, and seems that it lasts a lot longer then PUL and there is no wicking at the seams, not as stretchy, downside is that it's not as soft.
im trying really hard to now buy one of these bumgenuis 2.0 nappies! I bought 6 gks yesterday so dh is already a bit :banghead:  even though he told me to buy them! maybe santa will bring abigail one for chrimbo!
How do you ladies find the velcro tabs?
Thanks fo that Em!
I think the velcro is good in that it gives a good fit. It has a stretchy lycra type of material in beween the velcro and nappy (does that make sense?) Very stretchy.
I am not buying one btw I am trying to be more fussy with my nappy buying. If I prefer not to use pockets Ishouldn't buythem

I thought BG's are both snaps and hook and loop fastners.. correct me if i'm wrong
rian083 - I haven't had a problem with velcro yet as Dakota is almost 7 months and hasn't worked out that she can rip them off.. hopefully that'll never be the case.
I didn't realise they made bG wih snaps?
mmm I might have been looking at the wrong ones if they are snaps. I thought I saw velcro. Oh its all so overwelming..lol. So many to choose from. I might just have to try them all..lol

well the new one's have both snaps and velcro Kym.
Three snap-downs on the front of the nappy adjust the rise as your baby grows.
3x3 snap design easily adjust to a trim fit
easy to use hook and loop fasteners
Oh you mean the snaps to change sizing  But the ones I had had the velcro for fastening and the snaps for adjusting the size.

Gosh girls, you had me pretty confused there for a moment! I was thinking that maybe I was supposed to specify snaps or applix when ordering (like a Rumpster)- glad I checked back in here- phew!
Thanks for the Procare description Emma :) Aren't we all just so up-to-date on the latest materials now, eh!
