I have looked everywhere and i cant really find anything for this so i will post a new thread. I am desperate for gift ideas for my 15mth old son. We have his 3.5 yr ols brother sorted and could easily keep buying for him because he's easy to buy for but i need to get some presents for ds2. They have heaps of toys and dont need any clothes and i really want to get him something that he will enjoy and get alot of use out of.

Any ideas PLEASE!!!!!:detective:

my DS is 17 months and for christmas we brought him heaps of littler kind of toys but we also brought him a sand pit,
Maybe you could get him like a swing set or cubby house.... Ummm one of those cube looking things with the stairs and slide you can get them from target

My son was given a shell sandpit when he was around that age and he loves it :) We still have it nearly 3 years on & the boys play with it a lot. Grandparents gave him the pit, and his uncles & aunts gave him sandpit toys.

My ds had a shell sandpit too and spent hours in it. He also used to love his little plastic bike.

My DD is going to be 18 months at christmas, we have got her the fisher price crawl and cruise activity gym, fisherprice laugh and learn home, a disney princess beach towel and some new swimmers, a coupe car and a few other little bits and pieces. I'm finding this age is my favourite to buy for lol

I've found the shell sandpit to be great in limited space, especially as it has a lid & other toys can be piled on top ;)

What about one of those cloth cubby houses? The kind that collapses for easy storage.

target has bath toys in their own brand on sale %50 off -for $12. we got a pirate one it suctions onto the bath has a boat , slide and little fat pirates. i got this for my son aged 4 but its a good all age toy.

my little nephew is 1 and half yrs old and we got him a playskool vacuum that talks and the eyes move. it came with a little dust buster!

we got him a cd of songs with his name sung all the way through them.. and a wooden puzzle with each letter of his name. (thanks for the links mamaduke!)

we got a "take along" thomas the tank "round house" playset. its a station that has a few doors for the trains, some track and a thomas train (metal chunky & magnetic) it all packs inside the station and has a carry handle. it was $40 in target. came with a thomas toddler spoon and fork set and a thomas playmat taped to the box as bonus gifts. also the trains for this are on sale now in big w for $5. we have been buying this range for ds (and hes 4 now) since it came out and he loves it! you can get a big thomas to put the trains in and extra bits of track to extend your playsets and all the trains are under $15. (can even get a facy xmas 3 car train that makes a noise in target for $15)

i like to give things that will grow with the child so the thomas thing works cos i can buy something to add on now for every b/day and xmas.

we got him swimmers, rashy and towel all in the same character.

and some cute lil tigger pjs.

oh and we got him 10 pairs of dif little character undies. arent those size 2-3 ones cute!

ohh i love buying for this age...

dp cringes everytime i find something and say " DN would like that!" he seems to think they will need a bigger house by the time the kid is 5.

I've been having the same problem...I have a huge pile for DS and only a couple of things for DD.
So far for DD I have a wooden rocking horse ($10 on ebay :D )some mega blocks, a spikey ball (about $3 at Big W), a Little People Zoo Train, a few books with textured parts in them, then a few things that I was planning on buying for her anyway like a suction bowl, a new cup, some of the character Take'n'toss cups...umm...I can't remember if there was anything else, This is gonna sound really horrible, but I'm mostly buying DD presents for DS's benefit, he would think it a bit strange if santa only brought him presents.

We got DD an activity table for her birthday, she loves that, so does DS. DS got one of those sets with a wheelbarrow, lawn mower, rake, bug catcher, etc in it for his 2nd christmas and he still loves it now...tho I have been tempted a few times to snap the part that makes the mower noise
