I recieved K's Cuddlebuns Xmas nappy this morning and it really doesn't look like it is going to fit him. He's asleep or I'd try it on and I can't wait 2.5 hours to find out :o
I was wondering if anyone has got one of these nappies and what weight do they fit?
It's lovely with its velour inner and I really don't want to have to send it back....

They do look small, but they seem to stretch out a bit. I don't think they would be good to use for a long period of time.

Thanks Sop. Will try it on him when he wakes. I only bought it because I thought I'd look cute for xmas day :o

Very funny, but I would have had to talk to you first. I am now off to play with my dolly and I won't be sharing.

WTF???? Not sharing dolly
Someone always goes that little bit too far :p
Tsk Tsk...;)
I had trouble fitting it on my bub too. It is a little awakward.
if beehinds fit, then a cuddlebuns should. they have similar sizing. They are best suited to being day time nappies though.
The Cute Tooshies design looks super small in your hand, but when you put it on, it's really surprising how wide a range it fits - Matthew is 14.5kg and he fits into a bamboo delight just fine.

I have a chubby legged and bellied 11 kg 12 month old and CuteTooshies fit her great. Out of all her fitted nappies I think they are the best.
I have a soy bamboo cute tooshies (he has 2 actually, one hasn't been used) and they fit very well - Av (13 mths) is on the second tightest setting - he is skinny though.

So, I tried it on K and his little bum looks sooooo cute. It fits him comfortably, but I wouldn't use it often.

How many times do I have to wash it before use? I can't find the instructions :o
Is it the same as other nappies?

Why thank you Billy :hugs: At least someone will help poor little me...
Well Sop, bottoms up!!!
general rule of thumb with any nappy is one pre-wash to 'know where it was last' - hygiene sort of stuff - I wouldn't wear undies without washing them first ;) One warm - hot prewash is enough to remove any manufacturing residue.
Hemp always increases in absorbency over washes, and I would be fairly sure that cuddlebuns have hemp in the boosters, so they will only increase in absorbency.
Bamboo, on the other hand, needs only one wash before it's ready to use and pretty much as absorbent as it's going to be (although some people challenge this and say it continues to become even MORE absorbent ;)!)
So, while it will be fine to use it after one pre-wash, it will probably improve with age, like good wine ;)

Aahhhh, Lucy my saviour :hugs: Thank you. My placenta brain has completely taken over today :o
Hey Mel I got this from their website-
Care Instructions
If needed you can do a cold pre-rinse
Please wash in warm water
Please do not soak in bleach or similar products
Please do not use fabric softener
If you feel you have detergent residue building up on your nappies you can try doing a double rinse at the end of the wash cycle
Line drying is best but if you must you can tumble dry on low-medium until completely dry
Remember to wash before use!
WASHING AND DRY-PAILING
When it comes time to wash the nappies (with a good nappy system in place this can be every 2-3 days) you just pop them in the washing machine with a little detergent and wash on warm/hot. A pre-rinse can also work. *No fabric softener as this coats the nappy which can result in less absorbency or can be the cause of irritation to the skin.
Then all you need to do is hang the nappies out to dry! Sunlight is best as it works as a natural bleacher. This might sound like the most tedious part but with all the washing a little one generates, what's an extra load? It's really not that hard to hang a few nappies on the line!
Dry-pailing is the most popular (and much safer) option compared to wet-pailing as water in a nappy bucket can be a safety hazard around small children. Believe it or not, there is no need for soaking nappies these days. Dry-pailing just means you pop the soiled nappy in the nappy bucket after disposing of waste down the toilet (if necessary).
NAPPY SPRAYERS
These fabulous inventions can make disposing of waste easier. The nappy sprayer is like a spray gun that just attaches to the toilet and you use it to spray the waste off the liner or nappy. Our nappy sprayers are available under the Accessories page of our website.
Seems the same to me... :detective: :)
