View Full Version : Preparation for TTC
Hello ladies
I am just after some other opinions and other's experiences of what you did to prepare yourself for TTC.
The things i am doing to prepare for TTC are:
* Weaning DS (Day 2 and going well so far)
* Losing weight, when DS is weaned i will do something about that too.
* Will start taking elevit
* Get an overall check-up from my doctor
* See the dentist to have possible wisdom teeth removed and other work that needs doing.
So is there anything else that i should think about doing?? What have you done to prepare yourself for TTC??
Sounds like you have everything under control.
This is what I did to prepare :
* Had Wisdom teeth removed
* Started taking Folate
* Had a Pre-pregnancy checkup/appointment with doctor
* Saw a Naturopath to get as much healthy stuff into me as I could
* Saw a occupational therapist to get some work done on my back and belly to loosen things up and prepare my body for a possible pregnancy
* Spoke to my boss and warned him that I could be pregnant soon and therefore needing maternity leave
Ummm I think that is all I did..... it was awhile ago now....
Cool, thanks for that, think i covered most bases, also forgot though i better check with my chiro aswell about my back too.
Cheers!
Anyone else care to share?? ;) I'm so nosey! lol

Pre pregnancy appointment with doc
Wisdom teeth removed
Started taking folic Acid (now onto the Blackmores Pregnancy & Breastfeeding supplements
Started and trying to eat healthy!
Good luck with getting your:bfp: I hope to get mine soon too!!
:fingerscrossed: Goodluck for your BFP Jac :D
Just a question though, what will the doc do as a pre-preg check up??
Or what SHOULD they do... I am going to make an appointment with my doctor soon so i can make sure he does the things i ask....
Cheers!

The doctor I went to but will never ever see again (long story, still mad:mad: ) checked blood pressure, ordered a blood test to check blood group and to see if I was immune from rubella. I also had a smear test and she checked my boobs. Such a lovely day, lying starkers on the examining table! LOL!

it doesn't help with trying TTC, but it is better to get them out before you are pregnant as with some wisdom teeth you need to go under a general. I had mine done in the dentist chair and it wasn't a prob at all! Didn't hurt and I only had one day off work and didn't need any strong painkillers either.
Don't chicken out, it is best to get them out than to be in a lot of pain. :thumbsup:
I agree, i left my wisdom teeth for ages and the last one i got out was very painful and expensive because it was right near the nerve and i had a few absysses, which are also very painful. I only got one out at the time and need another out soon, so i want to get them all out as it's one less thing to worry about when you're pregnant, cause you can't do anything when you're pregnant with your wisdom teeth.
Thanks also Jac about the doc, i am going to make an appointment next week after i see the dentist! lol
Oh, i have also weaned my son and have started on the Tony ferguson diet. I am hoping i can lose 20kgs in 4 months so i can start TTC :D But if i lose the weight earlier than that, i will TTC sooner :D :yelclap:
Hi Girls,
I've done the following:
started taking Elevit 5 weeks ago
Started up Yoga again to get my body a bit more toned and flexible
Started eating more healthily
Had a Pap Smear
Cut back on alcohol (although Work Xmas party on Friday blew that out!)
Cheers
