mummies friendship group in canberra

Hi all,

I really would like to find any canberra mummies who would be interested in forming a mummies friendship group where all can get together, let our hair down and let the kids trash my place.

Without sounding desperate, i am honest. I have 5 kids & find it extremely hard all the time to get my butt out there and meet people. I dont know many people so would appreciate getting to know other parents in the area who may feel the same.

Not a problem - one day when I get my kids all sorted I will try and make the journey over. How are you holding up in this heat being so pregnant? I hated being pregnant in summer - winter babies are so much better.:)

Ive never been to a playgroup :p Yeh its at the hall connected to the church there in kippax, but its not a christian playgroup or anything. And as far as I know not too many people go

There is a young mums group at Lanyon. All the mums are 26 & under, it is run by the YWCA and is free.
It is held from 11 - 1 every tuesday during the School term. I used to go there but I have since returned to work. But I still talk to some of the girls there and they are fantastic.
The number is 6294 4633, just tell them you are interested in joining the Young Mums Group. I hope that is of help to you.

OOOOhhh a mummies group in tuggers, hey leah maybe we should start going there, by the time i have bub (in just 6 weeks yay :smiliedance: ) they will have the group back up and running again... what do all the tuggers mummies say??

Im in tuggers and im about 6 weeks away from being a first time mummy, and im always looking for other mummies to meet up with :yes: . Weekends are easy for me with hubby being home means i can get around better (my lazy bum cant drive hehe :D )
