I don't know how common the infection is/what causes it, but i was put on antiboitics by my Dr recently for a nasty throat infection that just wouldn't go away.
I'm pretty sure it was Amoxil, and he said it was Category A for use in pregnancy - so it is as safe as panadol. On all the tests/studied they haven't found there to be any effects on the growing baby.

we have natrual bacteria in us, sometimes it can get a bit out of control and muliply more than normal which is why you've been put on antibiotics, sometimes pregnancy hormones and stuff upset everything
re the antibiotics, bub will be fine, i was on them a couple of times with UTI's when pregnant. More important for you to get better!
