My poor girl is having the most horrible migraines ... 3 in the last week!
She has been getting them because of her body trying to fight off an infection (at least, that's what the doc said) and as yet we don't know if it is viral or bacterial ... the test results should be back tomorrow.
She collapsed at school on monday and I took her first to the doc where I was told she would be ok as long as she didn't start vomiting. We went and picked Dan up from my friends and 5 minutes down the road she vomitted all over the back seat!:barf: We ended up at emergency for a few hours while they observed her :crying:
It is 2 days later and although she says there is no pain, she is still really pale and tired. I have written a letter to the school and said that we will not be tying her hair up for the rest of the year to minimise pressure on her head (a token measure, but it makes her feel a bit better) and for them to let me know if she complains of a sore head again.
I have been told to give her panadol and just get her to sleep as much as possible - does anyone else have suggestions as to how to prevent these migraines or manage them when they happen?
It is really horrible to watch your little girl scream in pain every time a wave of agony comes over her :crying: :crying:
