Question & help re: dates for trying for #2

Hi Guys, I was wondering if you could help me please. I had a m/c last year and then after 3 months later fell pregnant with Charlotte. My cycles back then were only 2-3 days as my body was still out of wack etc.

We are wanting to try again this month for #2. My first period back after charlotte was 27th Oct and then I had nothing til 1st Dec, when in Dec is it possible to fall preg with #2 if it happens this month. Or dates for Jan etc Im confused with working out the dates etc.

Hope someone can help me out please.

Hi Missty -It all depends on how long your cycle is. To count how long your cycle is, Day 1 is the first day of AF and the last day is the day before AF arrives and you ovulate about half way through your cycle. My cycle is 28 days long so that means I would ovulate about Day 14 so in that case youd want to BD from about Day 10-14. You said that you got AF on 27 Oct and then not again until 1 Dec so that would mean your cycle was 36days long but that could vary from month to month. Hope this makes sense. Hi. You might find that your cycles are a bit irregular for awhile since you have only just got your period back after your baby. If I was you I would just BD every 2nd day and hope for the best! If you havent got your BFP in a couple months at least you will have a better idea on how long your cycles go for and therefore should be able to estimate when you are ovulating.
I have my fingers crossed for you that it doesnt take that long though.

Thanks guys, guess I will just have to work out how long my cycle goes for and half it really. Or do what everyone's saying and bed every 2nd night from 5 days after my period stops or use an ovulation test later one again.

Still might use an ovulation test as I bought one with charlotte and we gone down to the last test and bame! I fell pregnant.

Curiosity if were after a boy this time does what your saying change at all? I dont believe it makes a diff as nature sorta choices what your having but what do you think? Hopefully it only takes 3 months max again to fall pregnant!

I was on the huggies website and there were people giving away ovulation tests they no longer need but they were all gone.

If there's anyone reading the post and is thinking of doing the same thing could you please PM me please. If not thats fine, just thought id ask.
