Hello everybody!
I know this is a somewhat strange topic fo a bubhub-community, but it's the only forum I know...! :o
We just moved from Germany to Brisbane for 2 years and will move in our new home next weekend. We took a lot with us from home, but there is still a lot missing! I was shocked how expensive furniture and and all these things are and not really willing to buy it all new.
So does anybody know anybody who is about to move away and wants to sell some of his belongings like bed, wardrobe, Microwave, fridge, hoover, ..., ?? Or does anybody know a website, where I could find things like that escecially for Brisbane?
Thanks for your help :)

You could try your local second hand shop like Salvos or St Vinnies. They always have cheap furniture.

Try going onto Trading Post Online Website (http://www.tradingpost.com.au) and doing a search (saes you having to buy the trading post)
Do a search - they have things like;

Lounge Suits
Bedroom
General Furniture
etc.

Here's a tip - make sire you advance search and just search for private ads. And then the results come up, display Prices from low to high

Hope that helps - :p

Hi,

I stumbled on this site and it is designed entirely for people to pick things up for free. Not free samples - actual free items such as dining tables, bikes, books, baby furniture & clothes and the list is endless! Its like a cyberspace garage sale of preloved items people no longer need only its ALL for free!

It has been developed to help minimise the amount of landfill around the world.

So if you have something you no longer need, instead of dumping it, you list it for free and someone may want it! As they say "One persons trash is another persons treasure!"

It's definatly worth a gander! Once you click on the site, head to the international section (for Aussies) and click on the region closest to you which would possibly be Brisbane and Logan (I use Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast but I can travel).

So far I've picked up a beautiful white metal cot (durodesign brand that sells in Babyco!) and a dog kennel :o

DEFINATLY worth logging into :D

Have fun picking up your free stuff!
