Daydream Island

Hi,
Has anyone been to Daydream Island. We are planning on going there next April with 4 kids. Is it any good, any suggestions on what we should take.

Dh and I went to Daydream Island for a wk in August this year....We didn't take our kids but when we go back we will....

We had a great time....There was lots of familys there.....It is a small Island they have waters sports, heaps of pool and other activities to do. The even have fish feeding times where you learn about the fishes in the lagoons they have there as well as wild fish feeding...Mon, Wed, and Fri they have movies which are family viewing.....

The food and stuff were great...The only thing we that we weren't happy with it with the Mermaids Restruant(sp)what they have there if you call it meals, for the prices you don't get much to eat....We just stuck to the Fish bowl and the waterfalls.....

We went to daydream for our honeymoon and loved it! You've got to try the dayspa's massages!

We went for our Honeymoon too and it was great (though 8 days was a little too much for me...I sort of got a little itchy from staying in the one place so long...only a small island)

Would be a great place with kids..awesome activities group as far as I could tell. Fishbowl and bakery were definitely the best places to eat, though room service meals were reasonable (both in portions and price). Breakfast buffet was GREAT!

One other suggestion if you're heading that way and price is a consideration (especially for a family of 6, but then Daydream does have great specials!) is South Molle...buffet meals all included, as well as on island activities such a 9 hole golf and non-motorised water craft...may be worth a look

we are planing on going around easter to hamilton and daydream we went in july 2003 when dh proposed

We went in 2001 before we lived in Australia and liked it I would love to go again maybe after bubby is born but I don't thinj I could stay more than 5 nights which is how ling we stayed we went to Hamilton, Daydream and Hayman Island.
