View Full Version : Clothie up the road!! :D
We live in a great little happy street. Yesterday I was delivering leaflets for our street Christmas party when I noticed the new mum up the road had a string of fitted cloths on her line at the front :D
I hope she comes to the Christmas Party..
I wonder if she's on bubhub.... :detective:
Thats awesome. I would be excited to see that in our street!

What a find! Only one of my RL friends uses cloth :( The others are just not open to the world of MCN - not that I havent told them how great it is.. they just can't understand how they can work so well and really not be much 'work' at all!
Have to use to believe huh?
I know no one irl who uses cloth. :(

That's awesome Nikki!! Now you can hopefully :ecomcity: about MCN day in day out :D
I know no one irl who uses cloth.
Same here! Sad isn't it ? Infact none of my RL friends have kids.. must do something about that :detective: :(
I would love that... I don't know anyone irl who uses cloth either - most people just roll their eyes at me! I am working on converting my pregnant friend... her partner isn't convinced though
Back when dd1 was in terry flats I knew 1 other mum who used them.
I knew of no one else who used MCN until 3 wks ago when friends had their 1st bub:smiliedance: . It's nice to be able to talk out loud about the benefits, and to hear our partners talking about how great they are aswell (and even using technical terms:eek: . I didn't even think DF would know anything except that it was a cloth nappy!!).
seekrit, for goodness sake go and knock on her door and say hello.

Keep an eye on her clothesline. She might have some good nappies you can 'snowdrop'.
Snowdrop? Please explain!!
Ditto Shed.... seekrit, just go knock on her door :) She would probably be happy about it! (Or she could be a total nutter and throw dirty nappies at you - take the chance!!)
LOL Ikis!!!
But I agree! Go knock on her door and take cake or something! Or better yet...take your "Show Off" stash of nappies!!
I have two friends who use cloth - one spent her pregnancy making 60 AIO's, which were meant to fit until TT but bubba will outgrow them by 6 months - the pattern was too small, but now she's having SO much fun buying new nappies :D And my other friend uses terry flats when at home, but I'm working on converting her to MCNs mwhahahaha:devil6:
On that note, anyone ever have a Baby Beehinds party/product demo? I'm seriously thinking about it...
I never knew they did them

Snowdrop? Please explain!!
It is the ancient art of stealing clothes off someone elses clothesline. Can be quite popular for people who have an underwear fetish.
ha ha sop you shocker.
I didn't know the word for it either, but someone snowdropped a brand new pair of levi's off my line about ten years ago. I'm still grieving.
 People do that?? No way, I would be ready to kill if anyone came anywhere near my nappies when they were on the line
But seekrit, you should definitely go and talk to her! She'll probably be just as excited as you to have found another clothie! I know I would be!

I've been to 2 and they are great. The demos give you heaps of chance to touch and feel teh nappies as well talk all things cloth with fellow clothies.
Go for it, have one.
I had a Baby Beehinds product demonstration with Lucy in Victoria and I highly recommend it. I knew very little about MCN and she was great with her product knowledge.
