The first thing would be to book the place you want the ceremony to be.
then the celebrant when you have the date. (the celebrant will organise the marriage liscence for you).
You already have your bridal party (don't you).
Then i would think about your dress, girls dresses, suits.
Then Photographer/ videographer.
DJ
Hair/makeup (book someone) I can give you the number of the people i used if you want.
Cars
Cake (again i can give the number od the lady who did mine)
Flowers (sandy could probably help with this her friend did mine).
Caterer (kelly used Grinners Caterers and they were really good the food was really yummy).
Hire of tables, chairs, cuttlery, crockery.
Centrepeices/ bonbeneiries (if your doing them).
your shoes, underwear for the day.
Alcohol/ softdrink for reception
Picking your songs.
That is probably the order i did it in i think that way the important stuff is done first and booked.
Goodluck would love to help if you need it and just ask for any numbers you need

I'm not going to repeat those that others have said, here are some additional things you may want to add or think about:
1. Master of Ceremonies for the reception (the DJ may be able to do this, your reception centre may provide on or you could have a friend do it)
2. Dance lessons (if you're a bit useless on the dancefloor or future DH is then you may want to think of do some - nothing worse than getting up to do the bridal waltz and doing the 2 step shuffle  )
3. If you are wearing a strapless dress think aobut your tan lines!!!! Solarium or fake tan to even this problem out!
4. Pack a small kit for the day with thread, needles, safety pins, hollywood tape for those emergencies
5. Wear your shoes in prior to the day!
6. If you are having an out door/garden wedding think of an alternative venue in case of wet weather and how you are going to communicate the change in venue on the day
7. Did anyone mention gift registry? (IF you want one of course)
8. Relax and enjoy your day!!:D
Ummm thats all i can think of at the moment.
Good luck!!!

At least a month and a day before the day (e.g. 31 days) was what i had to do..........so as soon as you have the date, venue and all the details you need to fill in the form do it!

okay my 50c worth, im getting married in 3mths, have you thought about where you will stay the night before the wedding, who will be the one to look after bubs/kids during ceremony/reception, will you have a childless honeymoon?
Umm i havnt thought about that yet, nanna or grandma will probably look after the kids though the night before and during,we are still deciding whether we will have a childless honeymoon.

when are you looking at having your wedding? Things in Perth book out pretty quickly, especially the more popular venues and celebrants.
I go married in June this year and we saved quite a bit of money as it wasnt peak season, and the weather was perfect.
