Hey ladies, just wondering if anyone else is going to weight watchers?
Ive been going since the 25/10/06 and have so far lost 5.2kg, i am so stoked with that, and im loving WW, i am following the weekly handouts of the points plan, and i love nearly all of the foods.
I am also doing cycle classes at the gym, and we just bought bikes.
My next goal is 10.8 which is my 10%, i am aiming to get there by new years :fingerscrossed:

Hi,
I'm not going to Weight Watchers but I am really interested.
I was wondering if anyone can help me out with a bit of info? I am trying to work out how much it will cost me.
I have looked on the website and at the moment, regisration is free, saving $33.
The weekly meeting fee is $18.
I thought that would be it, but on the website there are package deal things....
*summer season pass = $210
*12 week package deal = $169
* 6 week = $99
What are these and do you have to buy them>
Thanks anyone who can help.
Oh, also, can you just turn up to a local meeting or do you have to ring or something first?
i used to go to weight watchers before i got pregnant, it is really good and i found it really helpful
you can just show up to a meeting in your local area, they will sign you up, weigh you and give you a run down of how weight watchers works etc etc
at the moment registration is free so you will only need to pay the weekly meeting fee
the package things arent compulsory, u can just go weekly and pay for the weekly meetings, im not sure if those package deals include anything extra like cookbooks or whatever. i think if you get those package things, it is just the meeting fees covered for a certain period of time, they are supposed to save you money and be a bit of extra motivation for you to go every week considering you have spent the money for the meetings
hope that helps

Thanks Juzzy!
So if you don't buy a plan, and just go to the weekly meetings, do you end up getting the little cards and stuff I've seen people get from weight watchers?

Thanks waitingformotherhood - congrats on the wieghtloss btw! That's excellent :smiliedance:
Are you still doing it now, you don't do it while you are pregnant?
yeah, each week they give you a book depending on how long you have been at weightwatchers for as well as a weekly card that has that weeks discussion topic as well as a weekly menu planner and things like that
it may have changed a bit, but there still should be some kind of meeting information that they will give you on a weekly basis, they like to use them as a bit of a motivation tool and the menu planners are really good to keep hold of as the foods are easy to make and tend to break up the boredom a bit
they also sell a whole lots of items there as well such as recipe books, museli bars/snacks and lots of other things, i used to always take a little bit of extra money as i really like their cookbooks and still use them regularily

na not allowed to do it while pregnant
you can still eat healthy and exercise, just dont be drastic about it or push yourself too hard, I took pregnancy as an excuse to eat anything and everything in sight and gained 35 kilos.

I agree:yes:
I put on 20kilos through pregnancy, lost almost 10kg the week after due to fluid, bubba etc but i still had 12kg extra sitting on me that wasnt going unless i got rid of it!
Thank god for weight watchers cos that dropped my 12kgs off in the from August 05 - October 05... so took me three months!
I reccommend weight watchers but i think you still need the excercise too in order to tone up if you think you need to.
