This a question for those of you that regularly check your cervix. What is it supposed to feel like before ovulation, during ovulation and after like a week before AF is due? Can you tell me if its hard, soft, open, low or high and what is considered high when you are checking? And is it different if your pregnant compared to a week b4 AF is due? Thanks

Hi
Ther's some really good info on this on the fertility friend website under FAQ charting questions.
Unfortunately your cervix pos wont tell you if your preg or not, but it will tell u when your approaching or around O time. It becomes softer and higher as you get closer to O, and mine actually points backwards (towards my back) the day after O (instead of just pointing down/forwards, then goes lower and harder a couple of days after O.
It takes a bit to suss out what is 'normal' for you personally, so i'd suggest that if you know where u are in your cycle that u start checking and compare with other symptoms to doublecheck that what u think is your cervix changing correlates with O. Hope this helps. Good luck.

My cervix always feels slightly open. Should I always record "open"?
Women who have had children by vaginal birth often notice that their cervix always feels slightly open. Even if your cervix always feels open, you may be able to discern subtle changes throughout your cycle. If you are able to discern subtle changes, record how your cervix opening changes relatively throughout your cycle, noting "open" for when it is most open and "closed" for when it is least open. If you do not notice any changes, simply do not record any cervix opening observations. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Cervix-always-open.html

Thanks for your replys. I did some research and apparently your cervix goes a bit higher and soft like velvety to touch if you are pregnant but it happens at different times with every woman. Ive only been checking mine last month and this month but this month, AF is due in about 2-4 days, it fels soft and velvety and not dry like b4 ovulation were as last month it felt more like the tip of my nose and was drier.
Fingers crossed its a good sign, but we will have to wait :fingerscrossed: .
