When I was pregnant with DD, one of my workmates said to notice what time I woke during the night to go pee. This she said, would be the time that the baby woke for it's nightly feed. Once I got to 14ish weeks and my bladder got back into a routine, every morning at 3am I would wake to go to the toilet - sure enough when DD was born her night feeds would be last one at 10-11pm then her next one was 3am. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just a coincidence / old wives tale?

Sorry to but in to May mummies but it is interesting as I never used to wake during the night when preg with my son and he's slept right through from 6 weeks, started missing a feed from 3 weeks.

I don't see how that could be true, I think it's more of a coincidence IMO. so far, this pregnancy, I haven't had to get up during the night, though I am really busting by the time I wake up:rolleyes:

Can I but in as well....
With DS1 my husband use to get up for work 4.40am every morning when I was pregnant, DS1 was born at 4.40am.
When pregnant with DS2, DS1 would come into bed every morning around 6am. DS2 was born at 6.07am. I told my midwife that DS2 would be born around this time, she couldn't believe it when it happen
Not sure about next bub, DS2 usually wakes up at 5.00 to be resettled, and DS1 usually comes in around 6.30 - so who knows :D

i think that there may be truth in that :)
it could just be that the full bladder doesnt wake you up but bubs does and you just notice that you have a full bladder so you get up to go to the toilet. IYKWIM?
most days i get woken up around 4/4:30 and then can't get back to sleep 'til around 6. so i think bubs will wake up for a feed around then.
it's pretty interesting. will have to see if bubby does wake up around that time. which is fine with me!

I haven't woken up once during the night for this whole pregnancy, does that mean my baby will sleep right through?! I hope so! :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

I have been waking up at 11pm almost on the dot every night then I usually sleep through until 5am. I don't know if this is true but damn I hope so! My mum said that I was crazy for booby, I didn't stop unitl like 22 months and that was because my mum was preggers with my brother and it was a forced weining... I was not a happy camper. I am hoping I don't have a bay that wants fed every hour I think I may go insane!

Or you could need the toilet and as you get up to go you "wake up" or disturb the bub and it gets used to getting up at that time every night. Just a thought.
