I was just reading a thread about NYE and it got me wondering, who is HAPPY that they will be staying in with the children and who would love to get out and party....

For me im acutally really not fussed if I have to stay home with Emma, id rather sleep anyway!

Hrmm well I'll be having a tame NYE due to my pregnancy but it doesn't bother me! I'm not really into getting smashed off my face, so I think it won't be an issue and I'll enjoy spending it with the man I love. I think that's the best bit about NYE.. starting a new year with those that are important to you.

To be honest Im really over the whole partying thing-would rather just stay at home with Steve and Isaac, and have some Japanese takeaway and maybe 1 drink to celebrate (Ive never been a big drinker anyway!);) Besides, I cant last till 12 anymore!

Gosh, I can't even remember the last time I went "out" for NYE. Probably looking at least 5 years  And I can only blame the last 1 on having a child. Tragic.

No doubt it will be another quiet one this year!

I am not a fan of NYE at all. There's just too much pressure to do something big and have a huge night and party, party, party. Even as a partying youngster I never liked NYE. I'm more than happy to be home with my family. DH on the other hand would love to relive his youth and go out and get messy, but due to our latest impending arrival he won't be going anywhere just in case, lol.

I'm secretly glad that I now have an 'excuse' that is acceptable to others to miss out on NYE - people won't accept a "No" for no real reason, but if you add, "no babysitter" then they just leave you alone about it, lol.

Lol ill break the mould here and say ill probably be going out. Most of you know by now im a bit of a party animal. DF likes staying home with the kids but i think ill get them looked after this time. It will be the first NYE ive been out since i was 16. Although i go out alot normally New Years ive always spent with DF. This year i just want to do it differently.

Each to their own hey.

I've never been into the big party thing.... just being with a couple of friends and a couple of drinks.
Last year I took my DP, who come down from up north for Xmas and New Years, into the city and we stayed at the Carlton crest and went to Southbank.... he left Southbank as my DF as he proposed to me there.....
so this year we want to go back as like an anniversay thing and take our darling boy there!!... to the same spot we were at last year even!!
my only worry is how we are going to heat up his formula.... how we will get in and out of there and not take hours waiting for a bus and how he will be with all the fireworks......
but hpefully we will make it there as it is a special place to us now!!

My MIL is having DS for a couple of days over the New Year period but i'm still not sure if DF and I will be doing anything. We'll probably decide that afternoon on what we do. I'm more than happy to stay at home but knowing DF he'll want to party

Dh's usual work nights fall on Christmas and New year...so its really a matter of choice, we can't pick both occasions so he will take Christmas Eve/day off and work NY. I only like to celebrate it if I'm with my DH, otherwise it doesn't really mean much...the kids are already in bed...and I ring DH while at work..sending him techno kisses.
