That is interesting,
I've had two miscarriages and carried two babies to term - the two pregnancies I lost I had no m/s, the two I carried the m/s started bang on six weeks.
So for me it has always been a good sign and I know when it didn't start with the second preg I lost I knew then and there that I wasn't going to be able to carry that baby.
But my two best friends both have healthy little boys and neither of them had a day of m/s so everyone is so different!

I was actually worried with this pregnancy because I havn't really had m/s so far! Although have had queasiness. BUT I have been having BTs once a week (conceived on Clomid and have had a previous m/c) and my levels are fantastic and continue to rise *knock on wood* So I guess the m/s = full term pg and no m/s = m/c is not necessarily 100% accurate.

I didn't have alot M/S with Xavier and carried him to term, I only had queaziness the same as I do this time. The time I M/C I didn't notice any M/S either but then I only carried until 5weeks so it was a bit early to tell I guess.

I barely had any m/s with my 3 girls, just a little nausea. With this pregnancy so far I've had one week of constant nausea, no :barf: though. Even though I'm a little more sensitive to it this time I think it's because I'm much more tired as I'm caring for 3 young children. I've had no miscarrages and have carried all 3 girls to term so I consider myself very lucky and never once stressed about m/c ing.
Bailey's mum, don't stress hon, each pregnancy is different and it may even mean you're carrying a girl this time!

Hmm interesting, but i don't think anyone has to worry. I had no m/s with DS and he was a very healthy 9lb little man!
This time i have a lot of m/s from day 1! So I'm trying to take it as a good sign, and i guess this article helps a bit in that way!

Wow! I'm exactly the same story...
What i think is is that if you get MS it is a good sign, if you don't it isn't a bad sign. It is actually my comfort to myself as I hurl my guts 6 times a day in the first trimester:laughing: .

My sister had m/s with all 5 of her pregnancies, but the 4th one died somewhere around the 9week mark.

I've been pregnant twice. I miscarried one pregnancy and had a successful pregnancy to get my little boy.
I had m/s both times. As the article states, m/s is not the identifier of a viable pregnancy.

I think it is articles like this that send us all into a dither over nothing.
As it is not 100% certain what causes m/s, nor is anybody 100% certain what causes miscarriages, I hate these articles as it puts us under unnecessary stress which in turn is not good at all for bubba.
I have had 4 pregnancies and 4 children, so I class myself as very, very lucky. I have not had m/s with any of them, nor this one, just queasiness like others have said. :)

i read somwhere after my poor friend had her 3rd m/c.That the hcg levels in your body can take 4-6 weeks before all out of your body.
She lost her 2nd bub at 8 wks.She had a scan at 10 and thought all was ok because she was still feeling what she thought was m/s.
This was a while ago i read it,so i could be very wrong.
I say,if in doubt always go see your Dr.Thats what they are paid for.No matter how early the pregnancy is.
Also, about my friend. She thinks looking back to it that it could have been all in her head.
She thinks that maybe she was thinking it was all ok, so making herself feel like she had m/s.
I dont know though.
I dont think you could ever talk yourself into being sick??
I hope all going ok for everyone.

Well said.
Totally agree.
Also dont think to much about my last post.Like i said,it was so long ago that i read that. And i may have read it wrong.Actaully,i probably did read wrong.
Thinking about it now, doesnt hcg continue to go up untill about the 12-13 week mark?
Which is why most peoples m/s gets better around then?
So maybe my friend may have been right.
You would think her m/s would have been easing off slowly?
Im not sure.Didnt want to scare anyone.
I will talk to her about it next i see her and explain myself totally..
What a silly head i am..Sorry.

 Hi everyone. I am 7 weeks 3 days preg with our 3rd child. I have got 2 beautiful boys, with whom, the first pregnancy, I had m/s from 6 weeks on to 12 weeks, then my 2nd, I only had queaziness which didnt last long at all. Now with this pregnancy I dont have anything at all infact i feel great but only a little tired in the afternoons. You start to think when is the m/s going to kick in, just so you can feel pregnant. Anyone else have such changes in each pregnancy?
Thanks. Best wishes to you all out there aswell expecting and TTC. :xmas:
