effects of formula- NEED ADVISE PLS!

My dd has been on a hypos allergenic formula starter for infants for a few months. I am in the process of a slow wean. Last night I changed her formula to level 2 for infants after 6 months (which doesnt come in Hypo allergenic). she is 63/4 months. She was NOT happy by the 2nd bottle. SHe takes it no problems. but after she had the 2nd bottle she ad a swollen belly passing wind generally distressed. took 4 hours to get her to settle for bed after rocking singing cuddling. It was not very nice. I felt like a bad mummy. She was def in pain.

at first I thought it was teeth, but did bionjella and even resorted to nurofen on the 3rd hour.

Is this normal. Should I go back to the starter formula?

yes stay on the starter, there really is no need to up it to the step 2 formula.They still get enough nutrition from the starter as well as solids that you will introduce. Poor bubba!

I agree with Jen. My bub is 7 months old and also on the HA. I asked my MCHN and she also said if he is happy on the formula we are giving him do not change. He will get what he needs from the combination of formula and food. You can keep using the HA up till 12mths.

thank you so much. I dont know why I changed in the first place. Trying to do the right thing is sometimes not the right thing at all. :o
