Anyone Been In Maitland Private Hospital?

Just wondering what Maitland Private Hospital is like. Im booked in there for my Laparoscopy & Hystreroscopy and I have no idea what to expect. Ive only ever been to public hospitals.

Also, what kind of costs are involved? Im only new to private cover aswell!

I went there for an ultrasound, it was just like going to the public hospital or to the imaging place. The only thing that stood out is they were running EARLY :eek:

I also stayed in the maternity ward in 2004, the staff were REALLY nice, it was really quiet, and the food was delish :p

I was a public patient for my ultrasound so it cost about $80 and I got about $50 back, and when I stayed in the maternity ward it was fully covered by my health fund so I can't really help with the $$$ side of things...

hey i delivered my daughter at newcastle private and transferred back to maitland same day.
The staff I had in the maternity ward were fantastic! The most lovely women who literally did whatever they could to help you out.. even popping in on a Sunday night bringing their cuppa just to check out the gifts my DD had got that day from all the visitors!

I am heading back there to get my wisdom teeth out!

This time I am a bit scared though... ! hehe
