After not really being able to decide between VBAC and repeat C section, bub chose for me!!
After 5 days of prelabour (contractions regular - about every 10 mins, but not causing me to dialate) and being in and out of hospital with threatened pre term labour (was 36 weeks), bub decided to make his entrance!!
I went into labour on Monday night (20th November), after being discharged from hospital a few hours before being told that nothing was going to happen lol. Ended up asking for an epidural after about 3 hours of labour. They did a check and I was 5 cm, so they arranged for the bloke to come and do it. Just after he put the thing in my back, I needed to push, so I'd gone from 5cm-10cm in about 15-20 minutes!!! So no epidural for me!!
Bub was born at 3.11am, after 4 hours of active labour, and 8 minutes of pushing. I had an internal tear, and a post partum heomoraghe (spelling??), needing blood transfusion. Bub had to be rescusitated, and is still having blood sugar problems, but they do seem to be stablising.
We called him Lachlan Robert, he was 3.2kg, born at 37 weeks.
