60 Minutes last night (23 Oct)

Did anyone see the story on 60 Minutes last night about parenting?

The article was very pro-SAHM and positive parenting and the whole thing just made me feel like I was doing something right.

I normally don't watch 60 mins but was flicking through the channels last night as DH & DD were sound asleep early and the story on parenting caught my attention as i flicked over to channel 9 and watched the whole segment. I believe what the mother said that these days we are just too busy to take out more time to spend with our children. I already have a 4.5yo DD with a DS on the way and me and hubby both work full time. It is hard and can be stressfull at times but watching the show actually made me feel quite good about the way my DH & I have bought up my DD. Yes she does have her days when she can be a handful but i do believe that we are coping/doing alot better then some of the parents that were on 60 mins last.

I pray that those families struggling attend the PPP program or seek help from other family members to help them out once and a while.
