:D :D

I just had to share this fantastic milestone.

Whenever Curty has a feed (which I've always called his Bitty) I do a sign; I open and close my hand a few times, like "Open Shut Them". I say "Bitty? Bitty?" and do the sign, then put him straight on.
From a few months ago, whenever I say "Bitty?" and do the sign, he gets very very excited and lunges for my nipple :D

And last night, when he was feeding, he was looking in my eyes, and waving his top arm around (usually he's kinda stroking me or grabbing for my face) he started doing the "Bitty" sign!!! And now, every feed, he does the sign, once he's started feeding. So I hope the next step is that he will sign it when he wants it - ie he'll literally tell me that he wants to feed.

Yay Curtis!!! :yelclap:

That's great!

I've got a few months to go before DD starts signing to me, but I've started signing to her - I figure if I start now, by the time she's likely to start signing back it'll be second nature for me..

How cute! What a great way for him to let you know when he wants some booby! Just don't show him the Little Britain skit or he may still be doing his sign at 25yo!!

That is lovely! My little one used her own sign language to tell me when she wanted to feed. She used to put her two arms behind her head and stare very intently. My husband figured that was the position her hands/arms were in when she was first being breastfed. Babies are wonderful, are they not.
