Clomid?

When and why would you be put on this and can you ask to be put on it?or is there a time limit. Can anybody tell me more about it please and your experience.

It is a fertility drug which assists your body in ovulation. Doesn't work for everyone - your GP/OB?Fertility specialist would decide whether it was for you. I was placed on it for this pregnancy when I had not started ovulating 12mths after my daughter was born. I was really fortunate to fall pregnant on my first course. My older sister was on and off it for close to 2yrs before conceiving.

I was put on Clomid for the cycle I am currently on. I have PCOS and I was not ovulating so my FS put me on it.
I had a few side effects but nothing too bad. I am hoping it will all be worth it and I will get my BFP soon. :fingerscrossed:
I dont think you can ask to be put on it but I could be wrong about that... :confused:

My FS preescribed clomid to me for un-explained infertility. I O every month (except 1 so far), tubes are clear and dh is fine but still no BFP .... FS says it helps by boosting hormone levels and making sure that eggs are mature and healthy, plus prepares the lining of the uterus for implantation.

This is only our 1st cylcle on it so far .....:fingerscrossed:
