Hi
Not sure if this is the right section for this, but I'd just like to know, where can I get a sunhat for my DD??
She's almost outgrown the ones she has (which were all gifts), and I've been hunting high and low, and can't find any for babies!!
Everywhere has winter hats for babies, and sunhats for bigger littlies  .
I need to get one this weekend as we're going away next week and I plan on taking her to a few beaches etc..

I just bought 2 plain sun-hats for DS from Kmart, around $6 each. I have seen really cute ones at David Jones that would probably be small enough to fit your DD.

I didn't think of David Jones - thanks guys

Whereabouts in KMart did you find yours, foxy? I found big ones in the kids dept, but none in the baby dept... :detective:

At "my" Kmart, there is a stand in between babywear and kidswear. It had all sorts of branded hats like Hi-5 and Dora and right down the bottom a range of plain ones. :)

I found some in the major department stores as well as baby stores - I've also seen them when you buy some clothes - ie. they come as a 3 piece set with hat included (when you buy a dress etc) so it matches.

Also Myer I found some.

I've bought a few like this, but the hats are still all too big for her - don't know if this means she has a small head, or a big butt!!

I love the ones at www.vintagekid.com.au - though they may be too big...

I like the Pumpkin Patch ones... and I'm generally not a Patch girl either... I just like their hats. One that DD has at the moment, has velco underneath... and it's the only one she can't undo and rip off (well, she CAN rip it off, but it takes her a lot longer to do so).

Keeping hats on can be so hard.

I also agree with the outfits with matching hats - DD has NEVER fit into any of those hats at the time she fit into the clothes. Even when they put sizes on hats a Target or whatever, she's in a size 2 clothing, but we always get a size 00-0 hat...and it's not like DD has a small head. She's got a massive cannon-ball head!

I always found little hats for DD at the little asian clothes stores you find around the place and they are usually pretty cheap. I got one today for a friend's little bubba who is about 10 wks old and it is only just to big.

I bought one for DS today from David Jones ($7.95), it has a decent brim- I bought another one (which was more expensive!) and the brim didn't shade his little face whatsoever!

I use to buy my sons from Myers, as they were the only place I found hats small enough and quiet cheap.......

I have seen some cheap ones in Best & Less now though.......they have the good size brim etc.....

I now get my sons from kmart, as they have some really good ones for kids.

Cancer council shop is good, they have all sizes and the littlest ones have chin straps.
