Does anyone have any remedies that will help ds get through a cold?

He was so upset last night he wouldn't sleep anywhere except my lap. So I slept in a chair with him for a good part of the night. :( (How I wish he would sleep in our bed, but he just won't)

He's all blocked up, snotty, itchy and miserable.

Thanks

Poor little boy, they sure do get misrable when they are all stuffed up. I remember sleeping in a chair when DS was 2mths old just to keep him upright so he could breath easier. I find infant Dimatap works realy well to unblock their nose dut if you don't want to use any medication the fess saline drops and the vicks babybalsom also work. For me it just depends on how bad the cold is, if the last two arn't working I use the Dimatap.
Hope your little one is feeling better soon

hi cathy, spencer's in the same boat. he slept with me last night and we had to kick poor old dp out. i put a folded blanket under the head of his mattress to help with the breathing. i also use saline drops for the snotty nose but spencer's not too keen on it. it's hard, isn't it.

Lots of really hot steamy bathrooms..have a bath then let the shower run on hot and sauna the room up....i know you have water restrictions but I don't here...so we find that helps.
