DD turned 3 last tuesday so I tried again to get her interested in wearing underwear and using the toilet. And hurray! She did it :yelclap: :yelclap: We spent most of tuesday outside so accidents didn't matter. By the end of the day she definitely knew what she was doing. She's worn nappies to daycare, her own choice, but a week later and she's pretty much full time in underwear during the day with no accidents, just a little tiny leak sometimes which is easily absorbed by the terry cloth underwear. She's done one poo in the toilet and woke up dry this morning asking to use the toilet!
I'm so proud of her. :D
Everyone told me not to worry about it, that when she was ready she would learn fast... but I didn't entirely believe it and was starting to be embarrassed that she was nearly 3 and still in nappies. But no more! It was worth waiting and not pushing her.
That's fantastic Martha!
Think of all that extra shopping you can do with the money you will save!

That's wonderful! Toilet training is the most frustrating thing to go through!!! :banghead: I wish that there was someone that you could give them to for a couple of weeks then get them back all toilet trained!!!:smiliedance:
Thats fantastic news Martha :)
Congrats to your clever little girl :D!

Qldgirl6, I think that's what is so amazing. We've tried before and it WAS frustrating. But this time it wasn't. She was so ready for it and so so proud of herself that it didn't stress me at all (even when I was only half awake this morning and sat her so crooked on the toilet that the pee went on me and the floor instead of the toilet, lol).
That's great Martha! I'm very proud of little C!! I wish Eloise would take more of an interest!
(PS Did you use any rewards?? ;))
:smiliedance: Well done clever girl !!
:yelclap: wow, what a clever girl!

I may have posted too soon... I was just peed on, lol. But I'll cut her some slack for being sick today, and it was only a little.
Rach, we tried rewards. I let C pick out things at the supermarket which she would get all excited about... until she tasted them. Then "Yuck! I don't like them. Here Mummy." Might buy some lollypops though :)
