How long are you planning to have off whenyou have your little baby.
I'm thinking maybe 6 months.

Bout 48 hours i reckon
Don't think i'll stay in hospital unless i have to this time, i hate it and i miss my family.
So i'll come home pretty quick and no doubt be busy.
DF will take time off of course to help out!
With DS i took 6 weeks till i was back at work 3 days a week, with DD i was going to take 6 months but then never ended up going back.

i just got a new job working full time. so i guess i'll work right up until it drops and then resign - i wouldnt havent been there long enough to qualify for any maternity leave.
i'm lucky enough to have a very smart partner who rakes in a fair bit and is happy for me to stay at home- as he is very career minded and appreciates that i am less so and less concerned about breaks in the workforce and the implications for one's career.
after a few months i'll attempt to get some work here and there that i can do from home.
so yeah no real plans for re-entering the workforce proper at this stage. possibly just potter about at home for the first coupla years, maybe get a small part time job (if the working from home thing hasnt worked) when the baby is 2 or something. but i plan to be the principal caregiver and the one that is there picking them up after school and so on.
i'm not really up for both of us to be working 9-5, it looks a bit hectic and scary to me.

I said that too Shorty!
Boy was i wrong about myself!
There is no time to go crazy, just the washing can take all day with all the disruptions! Especially once i had our second, there was no way i was going back to work!
Don't make your mind too much yet hun, see how you go, your baby could change your mind completely!
Or maybe you won't want to leave it with anyone else...

Famous last words from a first time mum!!!!
No offence to you, but we have all said this and when it came time to leave our new bubba and return to work, well lets just say we can still see the finger nail marks from being dragged out of the house!!!!!! :D
Good luck to you if this is your plan though!!!

I have a years maternity leave 8 weeks paid. So at the moment, I may return part time, but I'll only go bcak if the money situation is too tight:thumbsup:
Ill have definitly 6 months off, but most likely 12 months.
By the time bubs comes we will have enough saved to cover my full salery for 6 months so i could possibly take even 18 months. I doubt ill go back to my current employer but would certainly like to keep that up my sleeve.
