Hi - I am leaping in with a hello and a request!

We are a married couple wanting to share our lives with a child. We have been trying to conceive for almost 5 years and have had two miscarriages and two failed donor egg cycles so far. The disappointment and pain of these losses is huge but somehow our hearts want to keep on going.

We found each other too late for my biological clock. Our relationship is strong despite the losses and stresses but we want to be more than a couple - we want to be a family! And I have the support of my family and friends. We have a lot more time now to spend with a young child and both have experience with kids. We are both into being in nature and having fun in our lives.

I hope you can help. Please email me at stellafinlay@hotmail.com if you want to have a chat about it. I am constantly in awe of the women who hear the pain of those of us struggling with infertility and respond with such an amazing gift. Thank you.

Stella

Thinking again about why I am on this journey. I will have time this time around to spend with my child. Being a single mum for most of my son's upbringing I was doing two jobs. So that DS lose out I didn't get involved with anyone til he got older (about 18years old) but it was still stressful being everything to a child. This time around there is DH, a more stable financial situation and a country home (soon!).

Also when I think I should be giving up, I look at DH's mouth (sorryTMI) and the way it moves and I think how much I would love to see that trait in a little one. He is an avid nature lover and also knows how to fix things! I am sure that he wants to do this with a little one interfering/learning.

There is just so much to share. Cousins, big brothers, grandparents, creeks and wallabies...

Thanks for asking Joanne. I am wondering if it will ever happen but I sure there are donors out there. I am focussing on DH and the great life we have - we a putting in a part of the composting loo tomorrow at our new house!!! But that little face seems to still be looming about. Hopefully someone will respond to me soon - A christmas present perhaps. It is so hard though keeping on going out into cyber space this this request.

How are you? Where are you up to?

I have been told that Stella has found her egg donor . That is such fantastic news and we all here wish her the very best as she continues her amazing journey. I will close this thread for her now, so that others can search for their donor angels.
