Ok so here is my dilema. I have brought some peapods and babybeehinds and I have no idea what they are. Are they, AIO'S, POCKETS OR FITTED? What is the difference. I know with my peapods I ordered some night time boosters but do these nappies need covers or anything else? :( I am so confused atm. Do you know if these nappies come with the inserts (that would make them a pocket nappy right?) or is everything I need sewn into them?
Hehehe maybe I should check the web sites hey..

Any feedback would be appreciated.

:D

You're Peapods are a pocket nappy. I don't use these, but what you need to do is stuff them. They don't need a cover. However, they can also be used as a cover for nappies that need a cover (correct me if I'm wrong ladies!). I don't really know to much more about them, though.
The Baby Beehinds are a fitted nappy. This is what I have and I love them. They need a cover. They have 2 snap in boosters, and you can have either 1 or both in. You can add extra boosters or foldups for more absorbtion which is great for nighttime.

Yep Gremily is right!

Rian, I use Peapods full time and I just love them :D

ETA: Everything you need for Peapods will come with them. The $18 or whatever you paid each includes th pocket nappy PLUS the insert you need to stuff it with. And the microfibre boosters are optional (I only use them at night)

Yep that's right.

To get the most out of teh babybeehinds, fold teh long booster into 4th, (folding over on it's self) and when doing it up try to position it over either the vagina or at the end of the penis, that way it will absorb most of the wee before it spreads to the rest of the nappy.

I can help you with the Peapods as I use mine a lot!

They don't need a cover as the outer layer is PUL and they keep the business in (most of the time anyway!). They come with a hemp insert which you fold into thirds and "stuff" into the nappy (opening at the back). Sounds like you have also bought some boosters which is great. In my experience they also need the microfibre booster. DS always wets through them if they only have the hemp insert in. Stuff them into the pocket so that the first layer closest to bub is microfibre, then the hemp. Hope that makes sense?

Once you give them a go you will see they are really easy to use. When they are dirty you pull out the insert and booster, rinse them out and put them in the washing machine. Sometimes it is a little bit of trial and error to work out what you need to "stuff" them with (boosters, etc.) but if you have any worries, just come back and someone will help you out.

Also you have to wash the hemp inserts a few times before they are at their best absorbancy. They get better with age! So don't get despondent if they aren't great to start with.

As for BB's I don't use them. But they are a fitted nappy and do require a separate cover.

Hope this helps. I love my peapods. They have been a great everyday nappy and easy for others to use (daycare, dads, etc.). Let us know how you go!:smiliedance:

Thanks for the replys ladies. I did buy some very nice BBH's but have to cover them with something :( whats the point of that??
Oh well, I do like all these wool covers some of u ladies are making so may invest in something like that..

Ok so basically for the peapods, i need more inserts but no covers and for the BBH's I need a cover but no inserts (except the ones it comes with?)

I am having such a dumb week I tell you....lol

The Peapods come with the inserts- I use both the microfibre and hemp together, I must have a heavy wetter here. When dirty, rinse off (or flush the poop down the loo if you have a bub on solids/formula) and put in a lidded bucket until you have enough to wash.

Liners make cleaning all kinds of MCN easier- you can get disposable, flushable or washable ones.

I also have BBH's (bamboo) and yes, they need a cover, but there are so gorgeous covers out there! Wool is ideal for night, but pul is waterproof and breathable (it's what makes your Peapods waterproof). Check out some of the nappy retailers like The Wee Wuns and Nurture Nappies for covers (BBH's also sell them along with your nappies- did you get a trial pack? If you are waiting for your trial pack to arrive, don't worry, they include a cover).

Hope this helps! It might help to have a read at www.allaboutnappies.com for all the terminology, different kinds of nappies etc.

Whats the point of nappies needing covers? Ahhh interesting q! It does make it easier for some people to use pockets but I like using nappies with covers as I am too slack to stuff pockets! I have a few which I leave as the easy nappies for hubby and mil. AIOs take longer to dry.
Pea Pods are the best value for money.

just for my 2 cents I use a microfibre insert (well cloth its cheaper) with my peapods
