Bands?

I was wondering whether anyone have had bands at your wedding, are going to have one or if you can give me any recommendations. I don't really wanna spend a fortune but I do prefer a band than a DJ (not our sort of thing). A band that can play old tunes as well as todays stuff would be great. Thanks so much!

Hi! Just thought i'd put my vote in.... definitely go the band!!
We had a jazz singer and band at our cocktail party wedding, and it was a hit, it really was the most memorable and special part of the night. Everyone loved it, and it provided a focal point for people.
Our wedding was kind of relaxed, with a small gathering at a gorgeous restaurant on the water, and the jazz thing fit in really well.
Whatever type of band you go for, i highly recommend it!!
plus, i'm not a huge fan of the whole dj thing.

Hi,
I recently got married and we had a band and it was the best thing we ever did! The were great. They were a blues band, but played anything we wanted. Best part was they even played as the bridal party walked into the reception. It was so much better than a DJ... i say GO FOR IT!!!!
