Just another question from a newbie clothie here.

What do you do in winter when there are no days of sunshine all week? How do you sanitise the nappies in the sun when it is a no show? I know winter is far far away (thank god I say) but what do you do then? Just so I am prepared.

From what I understand its the UV in the sun that is the sanitiser not the heat you may say.

Being a Queenslander I'm probably not the best person to answer but...believe it or not, we did have a few days during winter where it was overcast or raining.

On these (rare) ocassions I would add a bit of Dettol laundry wash to the wash (not too much).

It may depend on what MCN you use - we use Baby Beehinds hemp. Perhaps it's okay to use on all MCN - I'm sure someone will answer that for you.

sunlight as a natural sanitiser (http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:1_VM3xt7_6AJ:www.niwascience.co.nz/pubs/an/23/sunlight)
