I had a tooth removed this morn and they told me to rinse my mouth with salty water tomorrow (but not to do it at all today). But I forgot to ask, and I know this is probably a silly question, but can I brush my teeth tonight? Or should I leave it til the morn?
Silly question  but I haven't had a tooth removed before so I have no idea.

Does anyone know?

No you should avoid brushing your teeth today and tomorrow. Just do the salt water rinses tomorrow. Hope you're feeling better soon. :hugs:

I would brush the side that you still have all your teeth on only, just incase you dislodge the clot in the hole, oh and when you rince with salt water tomorrow don't swish to fast, kinda just let it move from one side of your mouth to the other, just incase the clot dislodges, other wise you'll start bleeding again

oh and don't eat rice what ever you do, I learnt the hard way and ended up getting a peice of rice lodged in the hole and had to get tweezers to get it out

ummmm it can probably wait until tomorrow? I guess?? I know when I had 4 wisdom teeth out all at once, I didn't brush my teeth for a couple of days because my mouth was sore and I was doped up on codeine anyway
I'd probably leave it, don't brush them tonight. Leave the wound to heal for a bit before introducing possible bacteria/foreign substance, yk? :)

Hope you feel ok! Tooth removal is horrible.

Thanks ladies :)
Looks like I wont be doing the grocery shopping tomorrow then...can't go out with furry teeth  poor DH can suffer without chips for one more day.
It is kinda sore still, it wasn't the wisdom tooth, it was the one in front of it that had to come out. It kinda feels like I have a bruise there now...doesn't help that the first thing DD did when I got home was grab my face to try to kiss me.
Thanks again for your help :)

 are you trying to scare me?? I'm starting to think that the extra box of panadol I got was a good idea...I really don't like pain, not this kind of pain anyway.

Thanks Gizmo :) DS and I made some yummy fruit ice blocks a few days ago, I might have to have one of those if it gets too bad :)
