Now it looks as though we aren't 100% that we are headed for Bunbury I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good Private Ob/Gyn and Hospital in Perth? I had already been referred to one in Bunbury.

When I called St. John of God in Murdoch the receptionist basically laughed at me and said 'Private Patients in Perth book when they are 6 weeks pregnant, not 17 weeks'. Oops

I'm going to be in Perth in March, baby due in May. I know I have to get this sorted now. It's a tough one as I'm a high risk pregnancy and really don't know where to start! Oh and a section is my only option.

HELP!

Any ideas would be fab.

I had an elective CS through Dr Margo Norman. She delivers at Joondalup and Glengarry.

Have you rung KEMH? If you speak to someone there they might be able to help

I had a CS (breech birth) privately last year with Dr Linda Wong, based in Subiaco and St John of God (Subiaco). My general dr referred me to an ob/gyn who was booked out but who suggested Dr Wong. I'd recommend her, she's practical and caring, but not cuddly.

The first appointment wasn't till 8 weeks and I didn't actually have to fill out the forms to book the hospital until closer to 20 weeks, so I don't know where the business about booking by 6 weeks came from.

My only suggestion is to keep trying and calling around. If an ob/gyn you've been told is good is booked out for when you're due, ask them to suggest another. Hopefully they only suggest decent ones.

Good luck!

Hi There,
It depends on what area you live in or are prepared to travel to.
I am seeing Dr Anna Holmes, at Gallier's Hospital in Armadale. She's fantastic, and although quite busy, has a wonderful receptionist, Jason. He is often very flexible, and does what he can to fit you into an appointment with Dr Holmes, closest to when you need it, or when convenient for you.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
Kerry.

How did you get in with dr. Linda Wong? Did you have private insurance? I have to go public, so I want to go to kemh. Can I refer to her direct? Mine will be a c section. Any advice?
