I have been told that my amniotic fluid is thin. Im currently 34 weeks pregnant but was made aware of this at my 20 week scan.
The Doctor has advised that there is a possibility that I will be need to bring the baby on at 37 weeks.
For those who had thin amniotic fluid, were you induced early to have a virginal birth or a c-section? Or did they just let you continue to the 40 weeks?
Any responses would be appreciated. :)

Hi Kate :) Does "thin" mean there's not a lot of it or the consistency the technician thought they could see? If you have low fluid levels drinking water usually creates more whereas an IV of fluid doesn't. So drinking lots of water will usually support your levels of amniotic fluid very well. Also, if you were thought to have a major issue, your hospy/careprovider would have suggested additional tests to see if there were any real problems underlying it. A diagnosis of low liquor is very rare and the level you have at 20 weeks has no relation to what comes after it. If I were you, I'd recontact the hospy and ask for clarification. Your post doesn't make it clear to me what you're dealing with and it may well be nothing at all. Amniotic fluid is completely replaced in our bodies on a regular basis so running out is not physically possible.
