Hi, new to forum and would like some ideas and feedback on a new business I am setting up. I am planning to do nothing but make and sell cotton pajamas that are comfortable, affordable and look grea for kids aged 0-12 years. I have chosen a company name CHEEKIMONKEY and am setting up the web site and am just about to go into the production and design of the product.

I would really love your feedback as parents who buy pajamas for their kids on the following

1) How much are you willing to pay for great pajamas that will last the whole season and more and are genrally 100% cotton.

2) What would you like to be able to buy in styles that you can't!!

3) Would you shop online for your kids pajamas every season from one place if they were great!!

4) Anything else you can think of in feedback.

Thank you so much - it will eally help in my planning so hopefully the business will be a great success as I have had trouble trying to find such a product in Australia that does not cost $60 whihc is a bit out there for a 2 year old I think. Then the only other option in Kmart etc - nothing in between - or is there!

Melanie :)

yes i certainly would. i live in a regional area and shopping in shops is very very limited.

i have an 8 month old and he currently sleeps in bonds wondersuits.

uummmm. i guess i would like pj's that have enclosed feet for colder times and probably all in one for ages up to about 18 months. i think when they are little it helps with them not riding up leaving chest/back exposed.

So i am thinking something bright and funky, similar to a wondersuit but bright, soft, colourful with patterns/stitching- let me know if i am way off track. I love bright colours (but you could do pastels), polka dots/stripes etc- i am not a fan of animals, trucks, boats etc. Reminds me too much of kmart etc.

Once they are more little people then i'd buy more top/pants combo's.

I'd pay about $30/40 for them if they washed without pilling, could be thrown in dryer and were hardwearing.

How far off is the website?

I buy Bubba Blue PJs for my youngest daughter.

What I really like about them is that they are pure cotton, and they make a long leg, long sleeved PJ which is light weight, which is great for the bulk of the year.

The one problem I have with their products is the elastic does not seem to go the distance.

Generally it is hard to get pure cotton PJs for kids that are not flannelette. I also find it is getting harder to buy summer night attire for girls which is not polyester with shoe string straps.

You might want to check if you an use the name Cheekimonkey, I think it's already a brand.

I hate (with a passion) the horrible superhero splashed ugly jammies they have for boys.

I really love kids jammies that make them look like little kids. Something more traditional.
I'd pay about $20 $30 bucks if I could find what I liked, good luck with this!

Im with you lucybelle, I like kids clothes (and jammies) to be superhero free and actually look like they were made for kids.

I would want durable, good quality jammies in cotton (as DS has eczema and this is the best fabric for him to wear).

I like strong colours and cute patterns-stars, dots, stripes etc.

Good luck with everything :)
