OK, i am on the search for creative ideas here....
i'm looking for things you can do with minced meat - apart from the (boring) usual like
BOLOGNAISE, MEATLOAF AND RISSOLS.

Any ideas? I have 1 kg mince here and want to do something different that DS (20mths) might enjoy too

Any help appreciated :chef:

Burritos - theyd be fine for DD if you only put small amounts of filling in them and chopped them up.

Mince canneloni - basic meat sauce like for bolognaise, and fill the pasta tubes with it, layer a oven dish with tomato pasta sauce, lay canneloni on it then top with cheese sauce and grated cheese - bake for 30 mins in oven.

Small savoury mince pastries - puff or filo pastry filled with savoury mince mixture

Mini Meatballs in tomato pasta sauce

Cottage pie - savoury mince, mashed potato and grated cheese

Sausage rolls - just as good with normal mince

I make a bolognese style sauce, with carrot and zucchini grated into it, mix in most of a packet of cooked macaroni, pour it all into a greased baking dish, make a cheese sauce, spread it over the top, then cover with cheese and put it all in the oven until warmed through and the cheese is all brown. We have this with salad, and for a kg of mince, we usually have enough for 2 meals, even with all of us eating it.
Yummy...

Family circle's mince recipes cookbook has loads of yummy ideas too for future ref. Things like Meatball stroganoff and Chicken mince balls in green curry (yum!).
I'm trying the red curry meatballs with rice tonight.
