Hey guys..

Maybe I'm getting a little paranoid... but I'm not feeling well at the moment...

Unless I am lying down (which is totally frustrating for me) - I feel quite nauseous/ bloated... and am having lots of heartburn and wind. My tummy has also been very loose the last few days ... (sorry if TMI! :o )

is this normal in late pregnancy??? or have I caught something... I HATE feeling pathetic like this/?!! I'm not sleeping either.. which isn't helping my mood (poor DH!!)

Thanks

Hello

I had all the symptoms you are describing and I was told it was perfectly normal for late pregnancy. Very frustrating I know.

If you are concerned talk to your care team, but it all sounds pretty bog standard late preg woes to me :)

thanks :)

I was hoping that it was just a 'everything is squished up now' thing.... there certainly doesn't seem much room in there!!!

The signs you have seem to be the normal pg signs at any time of pg. I was feeling very nauseous when i got to the end. I wouldnt worry too much, if you are concerned about it just talk to your midwive or dr who will reassure you. :D

Hey Jenn, sorry to hear your not feeling the best, its awful when your not well, feeling fat, and being tired all the time, but i went thru this too, its almost like a bit of depression on some sort, and the hormones dont help! Knowing that your on the home stretch and thinking about what its going to be like can make sleeping almost non- exsisting. I had really bad heartburn when i was pregnant, i ended up practically drink the bottle of mylanta, the doc told me that heart burn means your baby will be born with lots of hair  My son was born with hair but i would`nt say lots of it. Try making sure that you eat small meals regularly as there not much room in there anymore and the smaller meals will digest easier and hopefully stop you from feeling nauseous. I hope this helps!! Take it easy and i hope things get better :)

I agree - it sounds quite normal. For the last 5 weeks of my pregnancy I slept (if you can call it that) on the couch in a semi-upright position as it was the only thing that would minmise the heartbearn and also as bubba was posterior and it was part of the many exciting methods I tried to help him turn around (none of which worked). :(

It is all a bit of a blur already although I remember the OB refusing to induce me (I was begging him every week from 38 onward). I burst into tears.

Seems funny now though - a small price to pay for the amount that the bubba is growing and progressing in the ens of a pregnancy - once they arrive, it makes it all worthwhile. :D

Hi Jenny,
Sounds as though you may be closer than you think. I had all these symptons in the last few days of my pregnancies. My DS came a week early and my DD came 2 wks and 5 days early with all the symptons you have described. Good Luck-how exciting for you!

Sal-counting down in single weeks now!

Oh sal ...

I would be thrilled!!! - If I can make it to 38 weeks... I would be happy ANY time after that!!!!

When you get this late in pregnancy... the novelty wears off pretty quickly!!! - and I dread the thought of going weeks over!!!

Oh I'm so pleased its all normal. I've been having terrible heartburn for weeks and I find it hard to sleep or get comfortable at night. It is really bad first thing in the morning.
I've been drinking lots of gingerale and am about to take some over the counter remedies...I'm getting desperate.
I told my DH I was really uncomfortable and he said ....lots of women have babies and there is not all this fuss. What a darling!

hey 1st baby -

dont be afraid to take something for the heartburn.... Rennie is recommended (and is actually in the bounty bags....so you know it is safe!!!) - it is peppermint flavoured... and my Dr also suggested TUMS - which comes in orange flavour... when you are sick of rennies!!!!!! :D

as long as you avoid the aluminium based ones... heartburn stuff is fine... the ones that they recommend are full of calcium ... so they are actually good for you in a way!!!

good luck with the 'comfort' factor ----
hubbies just dont get it do they :) ... dont be afraid to whinge!!! .. it is the only way I get attention at the moment :D
