View Full Version : Site Access Problems
We are aware that a number of people are having problems accessing the Bub Hub website - not just the forum, the whole site.
We are working on the problem - I don't have a solution as yet - but as soon as I do, I'll post something here. :wizard:

If anybody has Bub Hub friends who are not able to access the site at all at the moment, could you let them know about the following...
It seems that all of those with problems are Big Pond users. I've just spoken to Big Pond - it's hard for them to say what's wrong as neither they nor I can recreate the problem. However, they have suggested that those with problems switch off their modems, which will reset them.
Most people turn off their machine at night, but don't switch off their modem. If the connections to the Big Pond modem are routing viewers to an old IP address for our server (if our web hosters moved things around last weekend), that might explain it. Worth a try.
I'll start a thread in Friend's Chat - if it works, please get people to let us know. If it doesn't work, if you could find out if they use Big Pond for certain and whether they use dial-up or broadband, that might help us further.

OK - apparently this fix doesn't work at all. So back to the drawing board.
I have somebody coming to review things on Monday so will post an update then.
Only other thing I can suggest is that if any of you are in contact via MSN or email with those who are having problems, if you could ask them to call Bigpond and see if they can help at all, that would be great. They won't help me because I'm not a Bigpond customer.
We are still working on this - Big Pond are now checking and things will hopefully be sorted soon
