I had lymphnodes near my jaw when I was younger.
I think they are supposed to be relatively painless but they caused me a fair amount of pain.
I think I ended up taking anti-inflammatories or something for them and they disappeard and haven't had a problem since.
I did have an ultrasound or something though to make sure that's what they were.
I'd give your GP a call and ask him to explain exactly what they are and what (if anything) you should be doing...
hope that helps
xx

Yeah these are kind of on the back of his head if that makes sense-they are probably just below his ears-I will contact the doctor tommorow-they are like swollen and feel like little balls kind of-im just wondering if maybe cause he is teething and cutting a tooth at present if this has sumthing to do with it
Lymph nodes tend to swell up when we are sick/fighting infection - they are part of the bodies immune system. Theres lymph nodes all over the whole body . Some more details from a site.
Lymph nodes are glands that play an important part in your body's defense against infection. They produce lymph, which travels throughout your body in the lymph system, and filters impurities from the body.
Common areas where the lymph nodes can be felt (with the fingers) include:
Groin
Armpit
Neck (there is a chain of lymph nodes on either side of the front of the neck, both sides of the neck, and down each side of the back of the neck)
Under the jaw and chin
Behind the ears
On the back of the head
