Hiya Ladies :wave:

I stole this from the Jan 07 thread :D , and thought it was a great idea. Who knows we might be having our bubs at the same hospital.

So, Where do you live? and which hospital are you having bubs?

Me - I live in perth and even though I live 40 mins from my hospital I will be having bubs at Mercy Hospital in Mt Lawley.

I am in Brisbane and will be having my baby in the Redlands Mater Private Hospital in Cleveland.

I had my Son there in November 2005, they are really good there, and it's close to home so I feel good about that just incase I go quickly this time he,he.

I'll be having bubs at St John of God, Subiaco. The hospital is about 20mins from me.

Chicco Mercy is under 10 mins away from me but my Ob only delivers at SJOGSubi so I have no chocie. Anyway can't complain I had DD at SJOG and it was fantastic!:D

I live at the Central Coast, NSW. I am hoping to be going through the birth centre at Wyong Hospital but I am not sure if they will take me with my Strep B (just waiting for my results from my swab to confirm it) . Otherwise I will be at Gosford Hospital.

Iam in Tassie and i am having Bubba at Hobart Private Hospital if ob delivers there or otherwise i will go to Calvary Hospital they are both good and it makes no diff to me Calvary is closer to home but only by about 10 mins!!!! :wizard:

The Hobart Private is about 40mins from home and thats where i was with ds.:yelclap:

Im in Brissy and was planning on going to North West Private - but my Ob doesnt deliver there and they have a high rate of c-sec which I DO NOT WANT.

My Ob only delivers at the Wesley which is on the other side of town, but i heave heard he isnt really all for VB either.... so ill be having a chat to him at my first scan and i might change obs and hospitals if i dont like what he says.

But so far it looks like the Wesley Private Hospital

Highly recommended if your up for a natural birth, they are great and so much relaxed than your regular docs!

Best part is my Midwife lives round the corner so she comes to me for my check ups which is great with the two kids to lug around!

Anyway, enough of my essay! :o

Oooh cool! I live in Brooklyn Park at the moment, going to buy a place next year hopefully around West Beach, used to live there and loved it! Only reason I moved here was to get a bit closer to work (ended up being not that close I work in Regency Park lol) but since I will be a SAHM I dont care where I live!

I had Xavier at Mater Mothers Brisbane. This time I am considering Ipswich since I have had a close friend have a baby there and she was happy with them.
Other thoughts were trying to get into the RBWH birthing centre, obviously I'd need to ring them now. I am holding for fear reasons. I had a really traumatic birth with Xavier (he was posterior) and had an epidural and 30hr labour so am kinda scared at the thought of trying to do it all naturally this time, incase I have another complicated labour.

Umming and ahhing about everything atm!!:rolleyes:

LittleX-Man - my first birth was terrible too, but my second was incredibly easy!
(in the hospital foyer :laughing: )

If you do choose to go to the birthing centre they don't just let you keep going till the baby is out, they can still take you back to the other part of the hospital and administer an epi or whatver!

I'm actually an Adelaide gal too (won't give away any more details just yet though...got the appointment next tuesday and then hopefully everything'll be right to tell everyone - starting to think it may actually be a June bub though!).

I'm going to Flinders Private - went there for birth of first lil one and they were pretty good.

i live on the sunshine coast in QLd and will be going to Nambour General. Its aboiut 20mins from our place, the nearest public hospi, so our only option. HAd DS1 there in Jan this year, the midis were great. And i ended up with the head OB (who only does private now) deliver my bubba neways...

hope i can go 100% drug free this time, was little disapointed with DS birth. will just have to wait n see!!!

I think I might just stick with what I know.

yummymummy i had my dd in redcliffe when i was only 17, i LOVED it there but that was before the renovations and extensions so it wasn't actually in the hospital building it was a seperate wing. i didnt want to leave and its made me really look forward to being in hospital again.
