I need to lose a lot of weight (we're talking probably a good 50kg), and I am finding it extremely difficult as my partner (who is skinny as) doesn't eat vegetables and wont eat meat off the bone!
I am trying to hide some vegies in his meals, but it is very frustrating because he still wont eat much apart from take away, sausages and rissoles. He said he is willing to try some new stuff so I'm looking for some ideas for healthy meals that we can start him off slowly on, but are healthy for me so I can start losing weight?

I don't know if this will help/work for you. But once I have my last baby (this feb) I will not be buying alot of things that are "Adult" treats for the fridge. I will not be buying foods to cook just for him.(of course if he wants to buy it he can lol i just wont be including it in the weekly food shop)
my DP loves the saying, You eat, what your given! Well guess what, he can start listening to that saying himself :D or he can cook his own damn food

I have to agree with EM and say that IMO, the time has come for your DP to start eating what is cooked up for him. Does he know how foul non-specified meat (most sausages and rissoles etc) can be? Because if he's put off by meat with bones- well, there's much worse things about meat to be concerned with!
Start introducing meals that balance out protien (lean meat, chicken etc- makes you feel full, low in fat etc) with complex carbs (more vegetables and not huge amounts of pasta and rice, no white bread) and make sure that you are getting enough fibre and you'll be on your way
Unfortunately, while my DH loves food from other cultures and is a killer chef, he also loves his takeaway. I'm having trouble loosing the kilo's because I just struggle to find the willpower to say 'no' to pizza ect...
Hello Eternal_ Angel!!! Welcome to my world...I am currently on the Tony Ferguson Diet which means no bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, chocolate and lollies etc, and me DP whom also doesn't have a weight problem, will not support me.:shame: It makes things a little harder, but my way is making his dinner then making my own, it is right pain in the bum to have to make two meals :chef: (three if you include my DD) but it was the only way I could do it. I too have alot of weight to lose (50-60kg) so I figured I HAVE to do it with/without him.
For dinner I make myself meat and vegies or salad, and just make him some spuds of something.
As for recipes to convince your DP to eat "healthy" food..hmmm:banghead: thats a hard one, you could try the "Don't you want to be healthy" line???? "Do it for me!!"
Hope this helps....all the best and let me know how you go..:hugs:

I think we married the same person.
My husband is the same. While he supports me in losing weight he still will only eat certain meats and certain veges even though he coats everything on his plate in chicken salt.
I am also on the TF diet and have now decided that im no longer making a separate meal for everyone (me, DH, DD & DS). Everyone eats what I cook and if they dont like it then they can go without or DH can cook dinner.
