After having a natural birth 6 weeks ago.
My afterbirth bleeding had finally stopped about one week ago.
After a few romps with DP, it's starting to get more and more painful as we go. Why was it so good the first few days. But now i'm starting to feel the pain. I feel like a virgin again and i really mean in pain.
Plus i've noticed i'm starting to bleed again. Could this just be my uterus contracting due to stimulation down there? Or Do you think it May just be my AF returning, Does that happen? Can AF return one week after your afterbirth bleeding stopping?
It's more so just like a bloody discharge, so i'm not set yet on calling it my AF.
Any similar experiences or information would do great!
Thanks for reading....Sorry again for TMI!
sorry cant help first time around we didnt do anything till 4 months after and this time 10 weeks later nothing yet still  cant be bothered lol.
I think its possible to get af back soon after but it could also be just a bit of extra bleeding i sometimes used to get that if we dtd soon after af finished.

My lochia bleeding lasted about 4 weeks, and after a few days without it, I did the deed with DH, and then had a small bleed which lasted about 2 days, then havent had any bleed since  (DS4 is nearly 5 months old now).
I dont know why, I dont have any pregnancy symptoms (I always get extremely sick for the first 3 months), so I just assume it is the breastfeeding which is holding off my periods.
So I believe it is probably uterine action which is producing this, but like with anything, especially since you are getting pain, trust your instincts, if you think there might be an issue, see your midwife or GP.

Hey Ash,
Same thing happened to me... unfortunatly, with El being 13 weeks, the sex is still uncomfortable. AND the bleeding hasnt really given me a break... the afterbleeding lasted 6weeks for me, and then stopped for a week, bled for 2days, didnt for 3, bled for 3, didnt for 4, bled for 1, didnt for 3, bled for 2... etc etc, you get the idea. Its still happening. Definatly not my AF but Im not sure whats causing it.
Are you on the mini pill? I think that may be what is causing my bleeding but am yet to get to the doctor about it.

I had DS naturally almost 5 weeks ago and stopped bleeding after only 10 days and felt ready for sex then. I didn't think I'd feel like it so soon but I really felt ready so we went about it very carefully. It was a little painful down there afterwards for a couple of days and then I started bleeding lightly again for a few days, more like a period. We've had sex a couple of times since without any pain or bleeding. Hope my experience helps you :)

Jess- Ugh this sounds like what i'm going through right now although i'm not relying on any form of contraceptive yet....:( Naughty I know.. I've had to keep delaying my doctors apptmnt this week, well three times, because of Adam's graveyard shifts.
I'm thinking of having that hormone shot that lasts three months, but then I hear it can decrease your libido, and well, I don't think I can live without sex. I'm like a guy... Well.. except I have girl parts, and I don't grow a beard...etc...
Thanks for your help/input girls!

Im definatly in need of a doctor appointment!

I had the Depo ralovera injection a few hours ago. Only $17.00 and lasts for three months.
I need to read into the side effects a little more, i'm hoping it doesnt decrease libido, otherwise i'll be ****ed, or wait does it decrease your feelings towards having a low libido too? lol
